"My boyfriend cut his hand and we considered going to a different hospital because we had bad experiences at Geneva Hospital before. However, we decided to go to Geneva Hospital and I am glad we did. Dr. Jennifer Humphrey was our doctor and she was the nicest and most patient doctor I have ever met. She was very efficient and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure. She is a wonderful human being and I am grateful there are still doctors like her in this world. I highly recommend this hospital as long as Dr. Jennifer Humphrey is there. She will not disappoint you."
"Worst emergency room I’ve ever been too. They use to be ok. Now they are terrible. Rude secretary, slow radiology team. Zero communication. My mom broke her ankle. We got there at 7:30pm. She didn’t see a dr until 11pm. She didn’t leave until early in the morning around 4am. A guy came in with a broken leg after my mom And was seen and released before my mom. That whole time they gave her zero pain medicine for a broken bone. Maybe the first shift team is better but I would go to Ashtabula any day over this place. I’m honestly disgusted with that place."
"Place is a joke, like everyone else here has said. If you can stay away, do it. November 4th, I get to the front desk & explain that I either have covid, pneumonia or really bad bronchitis. I was having a lot of chest congestion, coughing nonstop & a sore throat. They bring me back to get my vitals & send me back to the waiting room because no rooms were available. Understandable around this time of year. I waited for about 45 minutes, not too bad. They bring me back & screen for covid, flu and RSV. Once again, I am sent back out in the waiting room waiting for my results. I waited about 2.5 hours. They find out I have bronchitis & give me 2 different prescriptions to pick up. I get to my local pharmacy (Walgreens) same day & they only had one prescription available & let me know they did not have the other one until Monday at least. I go there Monday to pick it up & they tell me they do not carry it & I’ll have to call another pharmacy to see. Okay fine. I call another pharmacy (Rite Aid) & they do not carry it as well. I did what anyone else would do, I call the ER and let them know the prescription they prescribed me, is not available at any pharmacies I’ve called. Front desk lady tells me to have my original pharmacy give them a call, so they can figure it out. I go ahead & call pharmacy and give them the number to speak with the doctor. Saying something about how they don’t have that in stock—duh, I already know that. By this point, I’m already pissed having to call multiple different pharmacies which I SHOULD NOT. I call ER back and explain to them NO pharmacies have this available. If your pharmacy can fill it, I’ll come get it. If you can’t fill it, please call a pharmacy that will have it. I have called 2 different ones already. I give her a list of ones to call that I have not yet. She says “Okay, we will do that. Doctor is looking up your files right now & we will call you back.” Lady at front desk is now saying to me go ahead and grab the over the counter one because “it’s still the same.” I’m telling her, “NO, for 1, I am not using my own money to purchase medicine that is not the same, and 2, my insurance has already paid for my visit & the medicine I’m supposed to get.” By this point, I’m doing the run around game with the ER trying to figure out a damn pharmacy that carries what I need. I’m so angry by this point and go ahead and call Walmart to see if they have it available. Sure enough, they do!! WOW! What a surprise, exactly what I told them to do while I waited in the mean time. Don’t worry, I’ll do your job for you. :/ Front desk staff is ridiculous. Sit back and play on the phones, laugh and giggle about nonsense while they should be working. Really uneducated, get someone in there that knows what they’re doing."
"Rudest M/Fs ever that work here, my boyfriend went in to be seen and was told all good and was told they'd be right back with his discharge papers and waited over 45 mins, he been there for 2 1/2 hours n was the only one there before 5 other people walked in. I called up there to ask when he would be discharged n she was rude n snobby "and he'll continue to wait" "call him n ask him" . It's a shame that this is the Next a c m c"
"Everyone is complaining about waiting a long time but it's not the nurses' or doctor's fault that they keep closing the ERs in other places. My boyfriend I were there for 8 hours, but when he said he had chest pain they called him back quickly after about 10 minutes despite being so full that they had no more rooms. They were thorough and did all the right tests. Half the people there were from Madison so, again, they wouldn't be so crowded if they hadn't closed the Madison ER. Honestly the front desk staff was rude but the doctor and nurses were all very friendly. The place was pretty clean and had free wifi."
