"Completely overpriced. Used, worn out dresses starting at $18, with brands like banana republic, you can get new dresses cheaper at the original store during clearances."
"Buyer beware. This store lacks ethics, IMHO. I bought a pair of black corduroy pants last week and was very excited as the fit was good and the original tags were attached. The owners have responded and said that it had been some time since I purchased the pants . NOT TRUE. It was only about 7 days ago. Only $14 for a "new" pair of pants. Unfortunately, when I wore them to my place of employment, I was embarrassed beyond belief to discover not one but two tears across the seat of the pants. I hope you can see the tears in the photo. I wound up wearing my winter outdoor jacket to cover up the tears. I took them back to Blue, hoping that I could gain some type of resolution. All I was looking for was an exchange. The manager emphatically told me all sales are final. I get that. Had the original tags not been on the pants, I never would have purchased them. It was very deceptive to leave the tags on. It's also unethical to maintain such a practice. I could have gone to TJ Maxx or Target and spent $15 more for a brand new pair of pants with the guarantee of a return if not satisfied. "If something seems too good to be true, it probably is." Very disappointed. Buyer beware. $14 down the drain as the pants are 100% of no use to me. Have a great day!"
"Horrible. I am a avid thrift shopper especially Goodwill stores. But this store confused me. Why on earth would I spend $16 on dresses and jeans that are thrifted and worth about $5 at my local Goodwill store. This store did not even have great items to sell. Trust me this is not worth your time. Go to your local Goodwill or Salvation army and spend way less. This place has beat up Coach purses for $39!!!! Like I said you can find beat up Coach purses at a regular Goodwill for much cheaper. I hope this store closes honestly"
"I am a loyal customer and I was reading the review from itsamanda and im shocked to see this person trying their hardest to discredit this company that does so much for the community. There is a sign that is big as day that says they DON'T authenticate...so why come on here & lie? I believe your not from the community and you have your own store & trying to derail customers from this store which is sad on so many levels! It doesn't take the smartest person to know that people donate fake items and if I walk into a store and see a chanel bag priced at 18.00 then I would know that this bag is fake! I love the purse selection at blue!! I know its not you guys fault that you cant tell a fake bag & I love just because it has a brand name its not over priced because you dont know if its fake. I love what you guys do being a mom of a special needs child you will always have a customer with me!!"
"A great shopping experience! Excellent, fashionable clothes at reasonable prices, and sales that help the bargain. The benefit of the Customer Appreciation card for regular shoppers helps the price go down too. For those who think that the prices are too high, Goodwill uses the money for charitable work, so I am happy to participate in that idea. Blue is a boutique with more fashionable stuff than the regular store, so one does not expect the prices at Blue to compare with the regular store. Boutique shopping is a different kind of experience. I found the men's section adequate, not exciting, but I found several nice shirts and a couple of suits I liked. The men's section of any thrift store or consignment shop is always more sparse because men keep their clothes longer, and as a group, are more conservative in what they buy to begin with. So I never complain. The location is easy to get to, and I like to see businesses helping downtown Akron thrive. Goodwill is to be commended for sharing in that purpose. I enjoy a trip downtown just to see who is on the sidewalk. As to parking, the price is not all that much, and helps the city function. Often people who shop at Blue are in an income category where they can help out the charitable work, whereas folks who shop at the regular stores may not have a bigger clothes budget. I find that there are groups who help a young girl find a prom dress or a bride a bridal gown, so things work out. Last time I was at Blue, I found an adorable long gown that could be used as a bridal gown for around $15.00. Pretty good! Also, I hope that everyone keeps in mind that one has to go frequently to a thrift shop because things come and go, and one never knows what will be there because the shop depends on donations. That is, actually, part of the adventure of thrift shopping! The staff is cheerful and polite and helpful. They always make me feel welcome. All in all, I am happy for Blue and I wish them well."
