"I had came to sell clothes a little after 1p today. I come back to pick up a little after 5:30p. When I pick up one of the girls that worked there (not sure if she was a manager or not) she was taking to some lady, smiling and everything with her. When the lady left she just looks at me & asks “are you here to pick up” with not smile, not even saying Hi/Hello before & sounded rude. I had said yes, she asked my name then she just starts pulling bins trying to find my tag, looking frustrated & said “this is the amount we can offer you” I had to ask how many items they took. She didn’t even show me what she took, no recommendations for what I could bring in to possibly sell better than what I had brought in since I’m not sure what the needs are for this location. These few minor things could benefit this store. When I had came in around 1 I didn’t have this issue, not sure if it’s a night shift thing where people are more frustrated here, but if you’re not happy to work somewhere then you should choose elsewhere to work, knowing there’s an overload at all Plato’s locations with customers and work to do."
"This store may have affordable options for young men and women but their selling process is a joke. I felt very discriminated by my age and was told they wouldn’t accept any of my items because they were “too mature” for their clientele. I’m 33 for reference!! Most of my items were barely used name brand athletic ware and I literally saw them buy an entire tote of the same type of clothing from the high school kid in front of me. Take your business elsewhere and make sure none of your stuff gets bedbugs from this place."
"Not a fan of this location. I tried to sell clothes that are in good condition. When I politely inquired why they only took one item (only got $2 for it) they mentioned it was due to stocking up for spring and summer. I pointed the amount of sundresses and skirts that would be perfect for that time of year that were in good condition. And the employee pulled it out and said I don’t know. So instead of inquiring for me, she sent me on my way. Not to mention all the employees are stand-offish and when you come up to the counter for help they stare at you and continue working instead of asking how they can help you. As someone who works in a customer service job, this was poor customer service."
"I was in there selling clothes and this buyer Anna saw a “low quality”thing I accidentally put in there then commented really loudly about it I was 4 aisles away and I could hear her loud and clear. It’s not fun to go in there and have the girls comment on your clothes when you had buyed them with your own money and thinking low about them it’s disgusting and disrespectful I don’t want to sell my clothes or shop there if that’s how they treat me or even other people"
"If I could give 0 stars, I would. I’m not selling with anymore Platos closet. They get people in there that seem “too good” for certain stuff when in fact the stuff that I was trying to sell were in style and what they were looking for. I had washed and dried all the clothing in 1 tote I brung in for them to look through. The girl who got my bag says that they passed because all my items were wet. They weren’t. There were maybe 2 to 3 items that were a little damp, just a tiny tiny bit. And I’ve worked at a similar place to this - clothes mentor, so I know we don’t automatically pass on all the items if a couple of things were wet. The truth of the matter is, if you wanna sell your clothing. I recommend not coming here for sure. They are too picky and won’t give any other clothing items a chance and then make up a lie. I’m so disappointed. I took the time to wash, dry and organize everything I brought in, but they couldn’t accept because they came across one item that was “wet”. My clothes were still folded the way I folded them, that’s also how I know they didn’t really look. Won’t be coming here again."
