Local Roots

"I have been to Local Roots many times over the past few years and never wrote a review. This is long overdue. I absolutely love their loaded local burger. It has goat cheese, fried onions, and a sweet jam. It is a perfect combination of sweet with tangy goat cheese, and they do not skimp on the goat cheese. The sweet potato fries that come with it are good too, however could be crispier. I am embarrassed to say this is the only thing I have ever ordered. My kids have ordered the pizza which is not bad. If you like goat cheese, I would highly recommend this burger. The restaurant itself seems to need a deep clean. It has that stale, restaurant smell similar to the smells at Red Lobster/Panera, which is NOT a good thing."

"We really like Local Roots, it's casual and cozy the menu is seasonal and always good. I've had their entree's, ribs, steaks, chops, pasta, burgers, libations and sandwiches and I've never had a bad experience. Going to try their pizza next. My guy and I love a good bruschetta and local roots is right at the top of our list. Prices are moderate and service is always good. Definitely worth trying out if you haven't been."

"I absolutely love this place. It's a farm to table joint that serves up bison as well. We got the bread service, pretzel rolls, and wings for appetizers and they were all really good. My kids had the salmon and the cheese pita pizza. My wife had the margarita pizza and i had cauliflower crust carnivore bliss. The pizzas were all amazing(not a fan of this ohio style sliced sausage, it's weird coming from Chicago). My father in law who was visiting from Chicago had the chicken tortilla soup and he absolutely loved it, this is his spot when he comes to visit he says. Service was on point. Our server was super friendly and chatted with us like we were friends, she visited us often to see if we needed anything as well. Overall a great place and well deserved 5*. We can't wait to visit again. Thanks guys, we will be seeing you soon!"

"Local Roots is a nice spot to have lunch or dinner let's get that out the way. Just felt like they had servers that were all in high school. One guy was at the greeting area and asked if me and my fiancé had a reservation, and their were plenty of tables available. Kinda got offended then since as a interracial couple you tend to detect when someone is not comfortable with you which is so sad to see or feel in this day and age and especially coming from someone so young. Don't know if we'll dine there again, which is too bad because the food was not bad at all."

"We went on a Thursday evening and got right in! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. Nice selection of beer and we had the buffalo cauliflower and a lean green bison burger. Both were excellent. The menu had a lot of items that we will be going back to try! There was a band playing on the patio. Highly recommend."
