"It's an interesting concept to serve tea in coffee cups. In any cups. But I didn't want to be a snob. So I ordered a cup'o with honey. Then I noticed the pile of dirty white napkins, tossed on the floor, in plain view in the corner of the tea room waiting to be picked up. It occurred to me, that this place would love to be, what it is not. When the waitress poured and spilled my tea all over the table, it was somehow in the line of those napkins and the upcoming Kraft honey pockets which you can grab in any fast-food places, that came next. The wrong cups, spilled tea, honey that you have to tear with your teeth, and squeeze out of plastic, the dirty linen; that is not a high end place for anybody's High Tea. The lovely eclectic collection of vintage and antique prints and objects cannot cover for lack of care. I think I won't be back."
"We ordered the afternoon tea. I was so disappointed! It truly was the worst tea I've ever been to. Everything was terrible from the scones down to the desserts. The scones were not fresh, in fact they were microwaved to the point of being soggy and very hot and when they cool down they were chewy. The mini quiche were burnt and the desserts were old. The tea sandwich's were ok at best. Above all that, we received our tea long after our scones, we had to ask for our tea. Before tea was served I was checking my calendar to see if I was available for their Special Christmas Tea.....needless to say, I did not purchase tickets for that event."
"Only one server, which meant our initial orders for tea took 10 minutes. I was put off by the plastic Kraft honey packets in response to my request for honey; these are grossly out of place in a supposedly classy tea house. My chicken pot pie was very tasty but a bit more soupy than I expected."
"It was a great, formal, yet relaxing place to have high tea."
"**I'm very sorry to say this restaurant has been closed since the pandemic and has not reopened.** The atmosphere is lovely. The decor is charming. The food is great. A wonderful place for friends to relax. I highly recommend the cinnamon orange spice tea!"
