Maurices 1017 South 13th Street, Decatur, IN 46733

"My daughter and I sometimes stop into Decatur Indiana Maurices because it is a clean , organized and usually friendly staffed store. Yesterday (3-18-23) was a different experience for me. We entered the store and we approached an employee with long black hair standing directly in front of us with her arms crossed ,(not very friendly body language) we exchanged a "hello." As I approached her I asked if they still carried their Maurices leggings.. she proceeded to point in the direction of the leggings and said "over there." (Poor customer service). There were no other customers in the store at this time, so there was no reason for her not to lead me to the item, mind you ... I'm from out of town so I'm not quite familiar with the set up of the store. Another customer entered the store, the employee approached her with a now friendly "hello how are you" and proceeded to fill her in on the denim sale. She the walked behind the counter and managed to watch every move we made. I'm not sure if she was A. Having a bad day. B. poor customer service skills or C. Racially profiling. I know the correct answer but will not take it that far. I'm addressing this issue because I myself work in customer service and would never treat one customer with total disrespect and the next with the upmost respect . I will not be returning to this location!"

"One of the girls was almost to pushy for my liking personally. Other then that experience was great. The store was clean the fitting rooms were also clean."

Recently I had a bit of a disappointing customer service experience at another location, (the one by Jefferson point in Fort Wayne!) and the ladies at the Decatur store were SO sweet and helpful and made it right even though it wasn’t even their problem. I appreciated it so much!"
