"I came in with my daughter to browse and see what new clothing there was. We weren't aware of their closing hours and suddenly their worker comes up to us and says "Just to let you know we close at 5pm". When I checked the clock it was 5:02pm. We were there for about 25 minutes and when we walked in she only said "Hello". Thats where she could have told us "Just to let you know that we close at 5pm" just like other stores have done. My daughter wanted to buy 3 pieces but the lady made it seem like she wanted us out of there immodestly that she had to leave her clothes. I've been coming here for years and I must say that this place is starting to feel conceded and overall unwelcoming. They should focus on their peoples skills and hiring people who actually exceed in this aspect first, than their remodeling and new pop-ups."
"I was so excited to finally get to stop into this shop the other day. Gave 1 star because the shop was really cute. But the staff & lack of customer service is what did it for me, they were so unwelcoming & unpleasant. On top of feeling unwelcomed, my 5 yr old had to unexpectedly use the bathroom so I kindly asked her if there was any way he could use theirs & she curtly told me there were no public restrooms. He couldn’t hold it so I was forced to put the 4 hangers I had in my hand back on the racks & leave. Not once did she offer to hold them for me or suggest places nearby to take him. Just felt like we weren’t wanted there in the first place. Anyway, safe to say we won’t be back."
"I love this shop. Always a great selection with gems to find. The employees are lovely and you can tell they love fashion and are fun to shop with. Really reasonable prices and a good range of casual items and really glamorous items. It’s great to bring in things that I’m not wearing and build up credits toward new things to enjoy. Also love to donate through them to a great cause."
"I've only been to this store 2 times. Once to do a quick return for someone before COVID and the second time to shop. I went in there expecting a wonderful experience because people were raving about this place and I agree! This is because the clothes they had was unique and was very spacious. But there was one older employee around the age of 40-50 and she kept staring at me. Everywhere I went she was looking at me and I felt uncomfortable. She was giving me these stares and glances as if people think I'm going to steal, but I'm not, I'm a regular shopper that just wants to explore Oak Park more. Through my hair I kept seeing this lady eyeing me even though she was pretending to do her own thing. I got fed up with her and just left the store. I did like a few pieces but I felt uncomfortable with her always seeing me that I didn't buy anything."
"Reiterating others comments regarding staff that is often unfriendly and short with customers/consignors. It is one thing to be able to say that you put on events and activities for consumers - that's great and all but it is another thing to be able to confidently say that your staff is constantly welcoming, helpful and pleasant. And unfortunately the latter is just not accurate. My mother and I dread going in to consign items now because we always know we're going to get someone who has RBF (does not seem thrilled to have to work with a consignor) and just does not seem to have proper customer service etiquette. Wake up Trends! If enough people are saying that there are issues with staff friendliness and patience then maybe it's something worth looking into."
