Shigs In Pit BBQ & Brew

"Ordered the combo meal with full rack of ribs.2lbs meat and 2 sides with a quart of bbq sauce. The ribs tasted microwaved and not fresh but were the highlight of the meal. The lb. of brisket was flat out gross. Thinly shaved dry meat with very little flavor that also tasted microwaved.The chicken was also dry microwaved meat. If you enjoy microwaved bbq this is your place, what a ripoff."

"We frequently visit breweries and BBQ joints. This one had good visual appeal inside and clean. Bartender was very nice and provided good service. Beer was good with a large selection. However... the food was a big let down. Pulled pork should not look like dried up shredded beef jerky with hard spots/clumps. Corn bread tasted weird and the green beans tasted like they were dumped out from a can. Also, there were only 2 people in the place and they messed up our order..."

"I love Shigs In Pit BBQ. I usually get the brisket or ribs which are always excellent. The had a rib tips special yesterday so I decided to try something different. I will say it was good. Some tips were dry to the point of being inedible. I was able to eat about 85% of the rib tips. I know the tips can tend to dry out so I was not upset. If you like rib tips. I would still recommend. I will probably stick with ribs or brisket next time."

"This place is pretty good. The food is AWESOME. The setup when you walk in is different. Outside, the place comes across as a sit down restaurant, but it’s actually more like “fast bbq”. You order at a cash register with a giant menu behind it. We got the Big Shig Platter for our hungry family of 4 and it’s just perfect. The brisket is great, the pulled pork is juicy, cheddar jalapeño sausage is to die for, and of course the gorgeous ribs. They do deliver this food to your table that you have chosen once it’s ready. Note: you SHOULD be getting plates and utensils. Our first time, they didn’t bring any of that out to us. We asked for plates and utensils and the cranky teen that was working dumped like 8 forks on our table and left. I’m suspicious that this may be because we don’t tip restaurants that aren’t actually our servers. Bringing out our food is standard since I can’t go back to your kitchen and get it myself. But… maybe I’m paranoid. We didn’t tip the second time either and a different happy teen bringing the food out actually brought all that without us having to ask. So I’m going to say that our first time experience here was a fluke with a cranky teen that didn’t want to be there on a Sunday. I do recommend for a good meat meal!"

"Very good BBQ. Friendly & helpful staff. Got there shortly after they opened everything was clean and stocked. The Can of fries is a great shareable if you bloke sharing. Pulled pork sandwich was very good. Had a cute patio out back but we didn't sit there."
