"I had a bad experience with Ohio “health” today. I had an appointment scheduled for 10am this morning. This appointment was verified with multiple text messages from Ohio health and also on my Mychart account. I arrived at 9:50 am and checked in at the front desk and was asked the typical questions about Covid exposure and questions to verify my information in their system. The receptionist handed my a form to fill out questions and told me to give it to the nurse when they take me back for my appointment. I sat there for approximately an hour and a half. At 11:25am, I overheard one receptionist say to the other, that Dr Isreal isn’t there today. I got up and went to the window and asked the receptionist what was going on. The receptionist apologized and told me my doctor isn’t there. I showed her my multiple text confirmation messages from Ohio health. She told me she felt bad and she’d talk to the office manager and see what they could do.The office manager was unsatisfactory to speak to because she said “It was a glitch in the system. Next time check in after 15 minutes of waiting.” Her comment to me missed the mark by avoiding taking responsibility for the offices error by attempting to shift the blame to me, the client. I was extremely disappointed. First of all, I should’ve been contacted by the office prior to going to the office to reschedule since the doctor wasn’t there. Secondly, what’s the point of checking in at a doctors office if they don’t know if the doctor is there? Prior to this visit, I would still give the quality doctors and friendly receptionists in this office 4-5 stars but the office manager’s comments didn’t sit right with me. Remember the golden rule! Treat other the way you would want to be treated. Thank you."
