"One year ago today, Dr. Ouellette performed the Whipple Procedure on my Mother, who at the time was 81 years old. He gave us hope by stating the Bile Duct tumor was pea sized and the surgery should go well. He stated the recovery period would be 6 to 8 weeks and she would live a normal life. The actual recovery lasted 10 months and the cancer spread to her lungs and killed her. He failed to let us know that statistically there was a 75% chance of the cancer spreading following the surgery. She was tortured for a year following the surgery and was never warned of the impending danger. I spoke with Dr. Ouellette and he said "we didn't ask the right questions". A physician has a moral obligation to be forthcoming with their patients. He was not. I would strongly advise that you avoid this surgeon at all costs."
