Poppy's Therapeutic Corner

"I really liked Chanel, who I was seeing as my therapist, early on. Initially, I felt that she was a good listener and very friendly. As some time went by, I wasn’t sure how I felt about her, but I wanted to continue the sessions to see where we were going. She offered some useful bits of information here and there, but overall I felt as though her approach or modality wasn’t working for my individual needs. Something that bothered me about her is that she would forget about us meeting. If I didn’t text her to call me, I would not hear from her and she would probably write me as a no show. One time, I had forgotten my appointment, which was very unlike me. I was extremely tired from a sleep study the night before. No word from her at all to check on me and I didn’t hear from her about my follow up until several days later. It was the same incident today. We were scheduled, I purposely didn’t text her to call me to see if she would say anything and she didn’t. Even if she thought I had forgotten the meeting like she claimed, she could have still reached out. There appears to be some integrity issues. No hard feelings but my later experiences with Chanel did give me a bad impression of poppy’s therapeutic corner."

"Tried two different therapists thinking they would be great fits since they’re black therapist and could possibly understand me more. I was expecting for them to dig deep with me and help me process emotions as therapists do. This was not the experience and I feel they don’t really assist in any type of healing. Two stars because they’re great listeners."

"I have been calling for weeks now to get an appointment. They won't even answer the phone anymore. For this to be a therapy or counseling service, they are horrible at getting the process started. My job offers short term counseling with them at no cost to me, but i can't even get a therapist to call back. 3 times now. It feels like they don't care"
