"We had been going to this place since before they moved to the Montgomery location and always received good service. Until this week, we made an appointment for our precious Sally. She is a bichon, we take great care of her, we brush her everyday and take her grooming often, she is a very important member of our family. I took her there on Tuesday and they gave her the worst hair cut ever, they cut her nails so badly she was bleeding and even having trouble walking. She is very cold because they left her with no hair. I am absolute sure some apprentice was practicing on my dog. I called to speak with owner and she did not call me back. We are not going back to this place/"

"Our interactions with Mr Nigel's started out positive, as Michelle, the owner provided us with guidance on when we should cut our St Berdoodle, and suggested we wait until 9 months to do a full cut. We scheduled ahead of time, and were eager to get her cut as her hair was unmanageable at the length it was, despite regular brushing and care. After extensive research on what type of cut we wanted, we settled on the "lion cut." It's just as it sounds, keep the hair around her shoulders, and head longer, and cut the rest including the face, short, a cut we (and anyone can find) via a quick google search. I took her in and explained to the girl that would be doing the cut what we wanted. She said she hadn't done a Lion Cut on a dog that size, but she had experience in doing that cut with smaller dogs, and seemed genuinely excited to do the job. When I picked her up, I couldn't have been more disappointed. She looked like she had been given a Victorian Collar. She was nearly completely shaved, outside of this terrible collar, and the look was no where near what we were looking for, and she had nicks from the clippers under her armpit. Amanda reached out to us, and we took her back. She was very nice, and did what she could to fix it, but even then, when we asked her to "blend" the longer hair, and not touch her head, she returned completely shaved and more hair trimmed on her head. I explained to Amanda we would not likely be returning, and shortly after I received a message from Michelle the owner stating that our dog was matted and they had to shave her, which while there may be some merit to the comment, she returned home with more mats than she arrived with, as my wife spends significant time with our dog ensuring she doesn't have matting. Overall the experience was quite poor, and we won't be returning."

"Mr Nigel’s is great! The price is not bad since it includes a bath, hair cut, nail trim, and his ears cleaned out. Their staff is super friendly and the place is very clean! It’s in such a convenient location with parking in the back for guests. Would definitely recommend taking your pet here to be groomed! Only down side is that when you make an appointment, you’ll have to call and LVM since they don’t have an online appointment system yet. But they do call back pretty fast!"
