"We cannot thank Cincinnati Dog Wizard and our trainer Jake enough for how they have changed our world in just a few weeks! My partner and I rescued a problem child puppy, Quinn, who starting showing severe behavioral issues immediately into the adolescent phase of her life and only got worse as she became an adult. She was aggressive, impulsive, had problems with resource guarding, almost no obedience, you name it. Our life was very chaotic and unmanageable so our vet referred us to The Dog Wizard. Upon evaluation they thought the 3 week board and train would be the best option for Quinn so it would give them enough time for her to get comfortable with the trainer as well as all the new equipment, and give her as much time as possible to work through what we were needing. We were apprehensive about a board and train program and if you are similar to us, let me be the one to tell you to do the board and train!!! It absolutely set Quinn up for success, she was able to solely focus on the work she was there to learn. A big thank you to the kennel staff for taking great care of our girl! Our trainer Jake was the absolute best. Truly cannot say enough good things about him. He made sure to build the strongest possible bond with Quinn so she fully trusted him to guide her through this process. He updated us as much as possible with texts, photos and videos letting us know what they were working on and how she was doing. But most importantly he taught our Quinn how to make good decisions for herself, MANY new commands, he tackled every issue we needed tackled (resource guarding, aggression, impulse control, leash manners, obedience etc) as well as giving me and my partner the tools to be the best dog parents and continue to advocate for our girl and build the unwavering bond of trust. Before coming to the dog wizard I met with many other trainers and training programs and none of them compared and gave the security with my investment as the dog wizard did. We have a very high energy bernedoodle puppy and we were struggling to train and manage day to day life without chaos. We did the private one on one puppy sessions with Gina, which helped tremendously! Gina was amazing and very patient with us! The training was just as much for me as it was for our dog. We were also able to attend the puppy group class in addition to our private sessions which really helped us work on what we were learning. "We adopted a dog with a bit of an attitude problem back in December. After trying for 6 months to work with him ourselves and getting bit twice in the process we reached out to The Dog Wizard for help. After reaching out to multiple trainers in the area, the Dog Wizard was the first one to say that he thought we could work through the behaviors we were seeing. We opted for a 2 week board and train program and it has made such a difference. Working with Benny’s trainer, Ris, was such a good experience. She kept us well informed with pictures and texts letting us know how he was doing and worked with us on mastering his new skills. We went in with 3 main objectives 1) basic obedience 2) possessiveness/food aggression and 3) leash manners. He came home to us already much improved on all 3 of those. We continue to work with him daily and have seen more and more improvement. Is he still sometimes possessive and aggressive?
