"Such a nice stay. Clean rooms, wonderful staff. We would definitely stay here again if in the area."
"The room was very nice, but there was glitter on furniture, floors etc. We paid over $200.00 for a motel that offered a complimentary breakfast and that was offered were bagels and breakfast bars."
"Average hotel in a bad location. Don't get the lake view rooms as your view will be a sewage treatment plant, a run down lighthouse far away, a jail, and a busy road outside your window that will keep you up all night. The rooms are very dated and have unsightly office-like ceiling tiles. Only one nightstand was very inconvenient for a king bed. The shower water is lukewarm at best and the bed is hard. A lakeside walk is along a pier that is unkept and loaded with garbage, broken glass, graffiti and a very sketchy feeling. Dining options in the area are unfortunate as well."
"I really had hoped to give this place a better review, but there were far too many issues. We booked here as part of a wedding party for one night. Regular King room nothing special. The price was surprisingly high for the location and lack of amenities. First, the bar closed at 10pm on a Saturday. That makes no sense. Second, the continental breakfast was barely that. Packaged pastries and cereal was basically it. No hot foods. The room was fairly decent but there was no night stand or anything on one side of the bed so charging a phone next to you or having a glass of water was impossible for one of us. Then to top it off we had absolutely no air conditioning. To be somewhat fair, they did call us but not until the day of our stay! They offered a refund to not stay but never offered a discount to stay and had no other rooms available. As we were staying for a wedding and it was last minute we really had no option but to stay anyway. They told us the window opened a crack and it did, but there was no screen and the window was covered in spiderwebs so we couldn't even crack the window. Also the elevators smelled like mildew. They mentioned this was due to the storms we just had, but it was pretty awful. Overall just not a good stay and for the price not at all I would I would expect. Had this been a cheaper room I may have been a bit more forgiving but when you are charged $200 a night for a basic room in this condition this is unacceptable."
"This was a nicely restored heritage building. The restored older hotels I've stayed in before all had small bedrooms because that was the original historic design. Not this one; the rooms were actually quite spacious. Everything was nicely done - great beds, the renovation was great, bathrooms, everything. I would happily stay there again if I'm in the area."
