"The patient care is terrible! I went in for an annual check up and discussed concerns about a lump in my breast. Dr Valerie Allen also had a concern about the lump and said she'd order a diagnostic mammogram. I asked for clarification on how to schedule the mammogram and I was told I would get a call from scheduling. That was a Friday morning and I hadn't received a call by Monday afternoon. I attempted to reach out to the office, but it was apparently after their business hours. I called back on Tuesday and didn't get an answer until I had called multiple times. I was then told a message would be sent to the doctor informing her I needed the order and I could call the breast center back to schedule. I had to find the best center's number on my own because it was not provided. At the end of Tuesday I called the breast center back and there was still no order. I called the office back on Wednesday and the person who answered the phone was apologetic and said she'd walk the request back to her doctor immediately and I should be able to schedule. Finally on Wednesday I was able to schedule my mammogram. I was able to complete it a week later and while I received results from the breast center the other doctor who wrote the order also called to discuss. Dr Allen never bothered to call. Today I was scheduled to have an IUD placed and I have to drive about 90 minutes to my appointment. Unfortunately there was an accident on route and I called to let them know if be a few minutes late and shocker, they didn't answer. I arrived and was only 5 minutes late but had to stand at the front desk for several minutes waiting on the receptionist. When I was finally acknowledged she said she would have to ask if I could be seen today because I was 11 minutes late. I explained I've never been late or missed an appointment, I travel a long way, there was an accident, they didn't answer the phone, and I waited on her longer than I was late. They absolutely refused to see me so I just traveled 120 miles round trip at $5.25 a gallon for gas plus time of work for nothing. I asked to see a manager who said if I had called they would have seen me. I showed her I called and then she said well the doctor said you'll have to reschedule. They offered to squeeze me in tomorrow, but my work schedule did not allow that and honestly if they could "squeeze" me in tomorrow they could do the same today since appointment time want even over. Horrible patient care! I'll go somewhere else!"

"She is a wonderful doctor. I had very bad anxiety during my pregnancy due to late losses in my family, and she really helped to alleviate my anxiety. My baby boy was born happy and healthy and is now almost two. She’s very caring and kind. I’m very happy that she was able to deliver my son and would not choose anyone else to do it again in the future."

"I am not sure why someone is reviewing dr Valerie and actually mostly talking about Bruce Allen. Dr Valerie was in the same network with my incredible dr Joseph Caligaris. It happened that on the day I was delivering the baby it was Dr Valerie’s shift and she delivered my baby. Amazing , professional, kind, smart , and beautiful woman! She helped me to deliver baby easier when I struggled , she had a trick that helped me to reduce the time in labor! I’m very thankful that I had her as my Dr during delivery, and also during one of the appointments when I had a scary moment and thought I was loosing the baby."
