Reviews
"Excellent physician with warm bedside manner. Very thorough and follows through. You are never left wondering. I'm so glad she is my obgyn."
"My experience with Dr. Caroline Bohme at Mercy Health was awful. I visited her for a routine IUD insertion but left feeling uncomfortable and scared. Despite my clear preference for the IUD, Dr. Bohme repeatedly tried to dissuade me, pushing her personal opinions on me. I left feeling anxious, uncertain, and traumatized. To make matters worse, her nurse was extremely rude on the phone and in person, compounding my negative experience. I would not recommend Dr. Bohme or her team at Mercy Health. It's crucial to find a healthcare provider who respects your choices and treats you with professionalism and compassion. My experience with them fell far short of these expectations. I found a new doctor, Mr. Fackler, at TriHealth that is fantastic at talking me through appointments and procedures. I would highly recommend him."

"I felt immediately invalidated from the second Dr. Bohme entered the room until the end of my visit. She made me feel like I had done something wrong in scheduling an appointment with her, and wrote off my concerns. I was coming for a second opinion after receiving care from another doctor for endometriosis, and the first thing she said to me was "I don't know why you're here or what you'd like me to do for you," since she must've seen in my chart that I had recently been treated by another physician. Perhaps her hands really were tied because I had seen someone else, but throughout the whole appointment she repeatedly talked about how she couldn't treat me or even advise me, though I reiterated that all I was asking for was a second opinion on treatment options. I wanted to find out about the role of estrogen in endometriosis and not only did she cut me off at the beginning of my question, but told me very bluntly that estrogen isn't involved in endometriosis. At the end of my appointment, she gave me a handout from the Mayo Clinic on the basics of endometriosis that mentioned estrogen and estrogen production/levels no less than 5 completely separate times, which leads me to believe she didn't even read what she was giving me. When I voiced my frustration at just wanting to have some answers about being diagnosed with this disease, she started talking about how people with cancer don't get answers about why that happens to them, either. That felt incredibly dismissive of my circumstances. It was very disheartening to be treated this way by a medical professional, who wrote me off before even hearing my concerns, and made me feel like I needed to defend myself just for coming to see her. I gained no useful information except for a couple of pamphlets on medicines to read later. I will never recommend her to anyone."
"I first saw Dr. Bohme in the Kenwood Mall location in February 2022 and she was okay. It takes me a few appointments to get a good sense of my doctors and if I trust them or not. This year I go to my appointment and find out they are no longer in the mall. I never got a phone call, message in MyChart, or a letter explaining that they changed locations. After calling several times to get someone to answer their phones twenty minutes after my appointment I learn that they moved back to their previous building on the second floor. I go to try and see if they’ll still see me seeing that my being late was not my fault, I hear her assistant tell the front desk that I will not be seen today and I have to reschedule. This makes my mood plummet because I live on the north side of Dayton and it takes almost an hour to drive to Kenwood. Now I am searching for a new gynecologist because I have never before been treated this horribly by a doctors office in Mercy in the last fifteen years."
