"I was a patient of Dr.Costa. I suffered fourth degree tear and was not sutured properly after the birth of my daughter! Not only did I tell the provider I was in a lot of pain but was told to do kegel exercises! I made multiple appointments over this. I started to feel disassociated with myself and had trouble sitting, standing,unable to have intercourse it was so painful, and its caused me to gain so much weight since I couldn't workout it made me feel like I was being spilt in half. I had to deal with this for 3 years! I switched OBGYN and sent to an Urologist to find out how bad it was! They had to take tissue from other parts of my vagina in order to close it! You could see my intestine during an exam threw the vaginal wall!!!! I can never give birth vaginally again. It's been a year since the surgery and I just want other women to know if you feel something is wrong with your body and your OBGYN or even your PCP won't listen change providers until you get someone to listen! You know if something isn't right! I trusted Dr. Costa, so it made me feel crazy and I hated my body and would cry almost every night because of this, wishing I could feel normal again. It only got worse when I gained weight because of how painful it was to do any type of exercises! Just trust yourself and please ask for a second opinion if you feel like your not being heard."

"Went in for my 36 week check up. I brought up multiple concerns to her. The primary one being that I was in a lot of pain and my sciatica was so bad that I couldn’t walk or stand for more than 2-3 mins at a time without collapsing.
