"Refrigerator door would not close. Bed in one of two bedrooms was horrible. Shower head doesn't fit in shower. A starter pack of one roll of toilet paper is all that is given additional rolls not provided which would have been nice to know. Dishes were dirty and thrown in oven and under the sink. The floors hadn't been mopped. Then the heater did not work and the temperature at night was 60°. The pool was nice but the skimmer net didn't have a pole. Definitely booking next year's trip elsewhere."

"Saturday June 3, 2023 was our reservation…I can not in my heart give this place even one star. The cabin we were to stay in (Spanky) was absolutely FILTHY. There were bugs in the bed, stains on the plastic mattress cover, dirt and hair in between the mattresses, mold on the shower curtain, No door on the porch….walked around and seen holes in most of the cottages near the bottom of them. Not the ground, actual holes in the wood. If I were to give it one star it would be due to the fact that Tiffany did reimburse our money in full. We had to book last minute somewhere else. Thank goodness for Sunset rentals for getting us a beautiful CLEAN room last minute. I highly recommend them!!!! My advice to anyone visiting GOTL is too book somewhere else then drive to Tiffany’s and you will be thankful for reviews!!!!!!!"

"Just got back from celebrating a batchlorette party here. The location was great. Right down the side street from Yankies bar! I had no issues while booking or with communication. The space was perfect size for all of us we had 8 that stayed at the larger cottage. The cottage was fully equipped for everything we needed minus our own bedding which is understandable. I took my own fan but there were box fans available there. Window air conditioning units that worked perfectly for the space downstairs a little warmer upstairs but understandable. Definitely will be returning for another visit."

"Tiffany was great to work with! She responded very quickly throughout the whole process. The cottage we had was the perfect size for us. The beds were clean and so was the rest of the cottage. The pool was a nice feature to have access to! Was kept very clean. All around we definitely recommend renting from here if you are looking for a perfect location right by the strip of Geneva. We plan to come back in the future with more people!"

"I wish the review I had was a positive one. We decided to give this place a second try after a not so great experience last year. After all, it was the new owner’s first year during the 20/21 season, and we wanted to grant some grace. The pool was absolutely filthy. She nor her husband came to the property daily. I called the owner, per her request in the guestbook she leaves in every cottage, to tell her the pool was overtaken by fungus, algae, and bugs. Her voicemail inbox was full. I followed up with a text message which was left unanswered. What would have happened if there were an emergency on property? Finally, I sent her a Facebook message. She stated she added chlorine and shocked the pool “midweek”. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. These were taken the same day she stated she added chlorine and shocked the pool. Unfortunately, the cleaning of the cabins is lacking. There were a pair of old underwear found under one family member’s bed, which had been purposefully left from the prior week from our friend as a test to see if anyone cleaned under the bed. In our cabin, there was a pair of dirty socks and deodorant with cobwebs and spiderwebs intertwined among them. We are a truly understanding family. Sure, things take time and adjusting. But there is no excuse when it comes to the safety and health of guests and downright uncleanliness. Since 2020 the rates have doubled; guests have to bring their own cable as there is none offered. Yes, there is Roku. But if you just want to watch cable television, you have to bring your own. Additionally we can no longer bring our dog as we were told “pet insurance is too expensive”. We have been coming this property since 2004. With the prices rising again next year, lack of attention to the filthy cabins, disgusting and unhealthy pool, property owner not being on property, and lack of communication when it comes to concerned guests, we will not stay here again."
