Courtyard by Marriott Lima

"I stayed here for a few months after my house fire. Not even sure where to start with this hotel and the workers. I got to know all of them by name. Let's start with the front desk. Val and Tim always greated me with a smile and a welcome. Then you have the cleaning staff. Charle and Mandy normally cleaned my room. I never had to ask for anything and every time I saw them in passing they had a smile and kind words for me. This hotel went above and beyond what I expected. Thanks for all you all do! I will be staying here again!!!"

"Room was spotlessly clean as were the lobby and common areas. My only concern was the lack of coffee prior to 6:30 am. No iced coffee in the Market Place either. Some people get up and leave early and this would be nice to have and is common at most hotels."

"We had people next door to us going in and out until past 2am, and standing outside our door talking with the people in the room next door to ours. We asked the front desk if they could ask the people to kindly be quieter, and the front desk said we know who you mean as the people keep coming down to the lobby to use the restrooms. Who knows what was going on. But that did not make for a good overnight stay. Also, when we left in the morning, we were told we were paid in full and were not offered a receipt or advised of any other charges. We then had an unidentified charge of $4.13 on our credit card from Courtyard Marriott, but had used no services. What was that for? After no one answering at the Lima Courtyard Marriott, and then Courtyard Marriott customer service saying we'd have to ask the manager at the Lima Courtyard Marriott for the answer, and then being given a phone number to reach that person (that ended up being a fax number), emailing Marriott customer service got us an answer: parking fee. What? For an ordinary parking lot for a hotel off a highway? If we hadn't had such a bad night we might have let this go. But the additional charge to park added added insult to injury. We disputed the charge with our credit card company. Our credit card company said the charge was not billed correctly, and should have been billed as a parking fee. We got a refund. And our credit card company will make the dispute with Courtyard Marriott. That will take more than $4.13 of their time. There's no need to nickel and dime your customers, Courtyard Marriott."

"This place will not honor any perks of Marriott membership. As a titanium member I asked for a late checkout with a half empty hotel and they wouldn't guarantee it at check in because "they might get busy" I got this excuse more than once. Also very loud, trucks running in the parking lot etc."

"The cleanliness of this location is supremely lacking. The common areas carpeting needs a good cleaning. A soda spilled near the elevator was left for three days. My first room was dirty, including a wet hairy bathroom floor and musty stale smell throughout the room. I requested a new room and was accommodated, thankfully. The second room was a slight improvement, at least not stale smelling. There were clear indications of water damage in the second room from a leak above, the vanity area. The furniture in both rooms (sofa and chairs) was filthy, visibly soiled and stained. It’s unfortunate the upkeep of this location is clearly not a priority."
