Rainbow Motel Montpelier

"There is a lot of improvements being done. The Manger is doing a great job cleaning up the place they are also very friendly and there is a place that is fenced in for dogs to run that is really nice. The cost of the rooms makes it worth the stay with the improvements being done the Rainbow motel is a great motel to stay in for a short visit or even a longer visit. We had such a hard time finding a motel to stay with our dogs, the manager at the Rainbow was understanding and worked with us that meant a lot to me and my wife (are doggies are our kiddos). I see that manger is making the Rainbow Motel a family friendly place to stay and you can guarantee you will."

"STAY AWAY. Horrible service, Horrible place. Black Mold everywhere, There where Mushrooms growing out of the carpet. Imagine when the last time it was cleaned. It rained, the roof had leaks everywhere. The City should take a very close look at this place . Health inspection And safety inspection is needed. Stay Away"

"***CAUTION -- BED BUGS*** I checked into this hotel on May 11th at about 9:15 pm. I showered, did some work and went to bed at approximately 11 pm. Five minutes later, I felt something crawling on me and pulled back the sheet. I found a bed bug crawling on the sheet next where I was lying. I immediately packed my things and went to the front desk. I let the owner know what happened, showed them a photo I had taken of the bug and requested that I receive a refund for the room. The owner claimed that because I booked through Expedia that she could not give a refund. I assumed it was a technical issue and left to find a room at another nearby hotel. Upon calling Expedia the following day, I was informed that the owner refused to refund the nightly rate for the room because I had taken a shower and therefore "used the room". It took 30 minutes of discussion with Expedia reps to eventually secure a refund for a room that was, in my opinion, uninhabitable. Of course, I was disturbed by the bedbugs, but I don't think I would have written a bad review of the motel if the owner hadn't handled the complaint so poorly. Certainly, in lower cost motels, these things happen, but the fact that the owners did not seem to feel the need to take responsibility for their property was very disappointing."

"Very friendly staff, clean quiet rooms can’t beat it for the price. I loved the small business owner attention I received here, better than a large corporate owned hotel. Dated but well worth the money."

"I usually like staying at a motor court, quaint, simple, and clean. Pulled down the sheets and there was a hair. Yuck. Bug in bathroom. Bug on tv screen. Had a long day on the road so I stayed. But slept on top of bedspread with a fresh blanket under me."
