"Black & Caspian is a super cute and small Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar. There’s probably 10 or so tables in total. The food is absolutely fantastic. I had the mixed grills and every bite of meat was so tender. After closing it out with the trio baklava, I was very happy with all of my food decisions. The only knock I have is that the service is a bit lackluster. At times, it feels like you’re forgotten about and we spent a long time waiting for a bill after we finished eating. As I said, it’s not a huge restaurant, and maybe they were just a bit understaffed, but when the meal is over it’s nice to be able to get out quickly."

"Black & Caspian has an incredibly cozy and intimate atmosphere. For our dining experience, we opted for a food-centric experience and found it to be generally satisfying. Among the appetizers, the ezme provided a refreshing start, the zucchini pancake was rich and filling, and the grilled octopus was buttery and well-seasoned, though the portions were on the smaller side. As for the entrees, the lamb shank stood out with its tender meat that practically melted off the bone, while the seafood risotto was hearty but was missing a bit of a kick in the flavor. Overall, the food quality was great and offered good value for the price. The dine-in atmosphere was cozy and romantic and makes for a great date spot in the heart of Lakeview."

"The atmosphere was extremely elegant and romantic. I felt underdressed when I ate here. Our server was helpful, funny, and gave his personal opinion on which meals and drinks to choose. If you like a fizzy lemon infused drink the French 75 is the way to go, it does have a nice kick of alcohol. The creamy chicken curry with a bed of rice was outstanding I highly would recommend it. My friend got the lamb which I was told was delicious."

"It is elegant decoration inside the restaurant. It’s fine dining place for sure but the price is not that high as it looks. The dishes weren’t only mediterranean food as a name. It’s kinda combine. There are many wine selection too. Staff is great. recommend to try out."

When it came to the food, I tried the lamb chops and tangine and both turned out to be a great choice. The dishes were packed with flavor and tender, making it easy to savor every bite. One aspect that stood out was the attentive service. The staff was responsive and provided helpful recommendations when asked. I would specially recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking something new and/or a special date."
