"★★★★★ Course Condition ★★★★★ Service ★★★★★ Scenery and Ambience ★★★★★ Value ★★★★★ Location/Accessibility ★★★★★ Overall experience A few weeks back, my friend KK and I decided to embark on a golfing adventure at this local golf range. It was a day filled with both excitement and anticipation as I was eager to put my new golf clubs, the 2H King Cobra and 4H Diabolic, to the test. The weather, however, seemed to have different plans for us, with dark clouds looming ominously on the horizon, and the distant sound of wind intensifying like an impending storm. Undeterred by the weather, we pressed on, fully expecting to have the entire range to ourselves. To our surprise, as we arrived at the venue, the parking lot was teeming with cars. Fortunately, finding a parking spot was a breeze, thanks to the ample parking space provided. We made our way to the welcoming center to pay for our golfing session and decided to explore the facility a bit before hitting the range. The two ladies manning the cash register were incredibly helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to ensure a fun and safe day on the range. What caught our attention was the remarkably reasonable rate for the driving range - an unbeatable $16.50 for unlimited balls and unlimited time. With our spirits high, we swiftly headed to the driving range, where a day of excitement awaited us. Upon reaching the range, we noticed it was already bustling with activity. Golf enthusiasts of all ages, from young to old, were practicing their swings. Some teenagers were even taking golf lessons with their instructors closely monitoring their progress. I found a vacant spot near the ball refill box and wasted no time getting into the swing of things—literally. This particular range was an open-air facility with no overhead cover. We were hitting balls directly onto the lush green grass - an authentic golfing experience. The wind howled in the background, and the dark clouds continued their advance. Suddenly, a siren blared, signaling an evacuation due to the impending thunderstorm. We hastily gathered our equipment - I only had two clubs in my arsenal - and made a mad dash for the covered driving range. As we scurried for shelter, the rain began to pour down relentlessly. Everyone at the range scrambled to find cover, grabbing whatever they could to shield themselves from the deluge. We sought refuge in the welcoming center, where we wrung water from our soaked clothes and hair. The sight of the crowd huddled together under the shelter brought back memories of the monsoon seasons I had experienced in Vietnam, where people who had lost their homes sought shelter under makeshift structures, their futures uncertain. Once the rain finally subsided, we made our way to the covered driving range. This covered area had only a handful of occupants, and it felt nearly empty. The corridor seemed to stretch on endlessly, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. We chose a spot near the entrance for easy access to ball refills. Unlike the open-air range, this one featured artificial grass carpeting, providing protection from the elements. It even boasted a giant heater to keep golfers warm during the colder months. We spent a good two hours here, each of us sending some 200 balls hurtling into the grassy expanse beyond. Nearby, a group of kids was receiving instruction from their coaches, offering valuable insights into the world of golf. Looking back, I wished I had been more considerate and lowered my voice during their lesson to avoid appearing rude and inconsiderate. As we left the range, our hands bore the calluses earned through hours of practice, serving as a testament to our dedication. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone in search of an affordable and easily accessible golfing experience. The rates are unbeatable, and the service is top-notch. I, for one, look forward to returning whenever I'm in need of a place to hone my golfing skills."
"Voted Sports Illustrated's best driving range in 1998. Pretty good driving range, decent price, even better with a coupon. Plenty of space in the bays."
"Golf is serious business here. Ample parking. Tucked away in the most western part of Winton Woods Park. A family oriented facility that is well cared for. There's a lot to appreciate about Meadow Links Golf Academy. You'll encounter a lot of talented golfers."
"Currently taking my second round of lessons here and can't say enough good things! All of the pros are excellent teachers and do great at making you feel comfortable no matter your skill level. The practice facility is wonderful and the 9 hole short course makes for a nice quick practice round."
"I am a novice golfer and really enjoy playing this course. The staff is always friendly as they are at all the Great Parks courses I have played. The course has a mixture of par 3 and par 4 holes. The par 4 holes are not terribly long and probably play a lot shorter for men. Course is in good shape. We rarely have a hard time getting a tee time here."
