Bar Cicchetti

"We dined here about a year ago when they just opened it. They were still working out some kinks with service then but overall it was OK. Last week we made a reservation to come again. Upon arrival, we waited at the entrance for 20 min. They had no host/hostess and the servers who walked by ignored us. Eventually several diners were waiting and there was chaos about who came first. We were eventually seated by an overworked server. Apparently they are understaffed there. It’s possible they had someone call in sick that night and this was only a one time thing but it gave me the feel that this is a common occurrence. The server did the best he could so I appreciate him. But to not have someone up front is inexcusable. I ordered the chicken thigh Marsala. It came out as chicken breast instead and it was the driest piece of chicken I’ve ever had. It was inedible. We ordered some cocktails and they were off quite a bit. Like the ingredients were not measured and just thrown in a hurry. Anyways Bar Cicchetti has unfortunately gone downhill fast. It was the first time in a long time that I considered leaving a restaurant because of the management of the place."

"Finally tried Bar Cicchetti and was not disappointed. The location was inside the beautiful Westin Hotel in downtown Columbus. Ordered a cocktail, the Italian sausage pizza, the squid ink pasta, the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the Tiramisu dessert. Everything was great. But if you are into seafood, then I highly recommend the squid ink pasta! Will definitely come back for it!"

"The food was SO delicious and the restaurant is beautiful and elegant. It's housed inside the gorgeous Westin downtown so the hotel offers valet. Our waiter was great and the drinks were top quality. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"Food was average to poor. Little to no flavor. Seafood had freezer burned flavor. Bread and cocktail were good. Our server was very attentive."

"We had such a wonderful evening out and Bar Cicchetti made for a perfect Friday night spot. Excellent service and delicious food! Kudos to our server Matthew. Recommend the Rosemary and Olive Focaccia appetizer, Strozzapreti Verde pasta, and any of the desserts. For the exceptional service, our group of 5 overall experience, and the delicious food I ate, definitely 5 stars for me!"
