"Tried to adopt a cat that has been there for over two years. Filled out application and was told that I could not adopt, because they have to be inside ALL the time. I do allow my cats (all spayed) sun themselves, on the deck, in the summer. I also made sure they had my vets information, so they could reference their medical history, since they are rightfully concerned about cats with felv. Unforunately I have received nothing back and I reckon the cat will have to continue waiting on a home. It is real shame. She would have had a phenomenal home. I understand wanting to make sure they are in an adequate environment, but turning someone down because they allow their cats to sun themselves, pretty ridiculous, for wanting animals to get adopted, especially longterm residents."
