"Editing my review because during my visit tonight there was beef in our food even after telling the waitress that we were vegetarian multiple times and being assured that they would use tomato sauce instead of meat sauce. They didn’t charge us for that dish after we found the beef and they gave us 20% off the meal, but it still wasn’t enough after we violated our religious beliefs by eating meat. We left being so disappointed and sad, and wishing we never came in the first place. Best italian place in the Columbus area! I love pasta so I’ve tried bravo, forno, etc, but the flavor and quality of Mo"
"Overall the food is heavy, there’s a lot of cheese and dairy. The drink was good, Caesar salad was quite small, lasagna was good, whipped feta dip was sandy, fried risotto balls were very heavy literally, wedding soup was very good."
"Moretti’s was next on my list of places I had heard of that had the “best meatballs in Columbus”. I made a reservation for a Thursday evening and my husband, daughter and I arrived on time with anticipation. The restaurant is dark and intimate with a comfortable, modern atmosphere. We waited at the host stand for someone to seat us for what I consider an unacceptable amount of time. A hostess finally greeted and seated us at a clean and comfortable table but yet again we waited for an unfortunate amount of time for our server. When he finally came, he was apologetic for our wait and he did seem to be busy so I was empathetic to the normal service industry woes. Our drinks were made well and came out fast with each round we ordered. I personally would not add The Meatball appetizer to any “bests of Columbus” list. The Meatball along with the Lasagna my daughter ordered lacked any meaningful flavor and the remainder of our entrees were forgettable. My daughter opted for dessert and was excited to try the New York cheesecake. Our waiter brought it out with the slice of cake upside down and without any fruit or syrup on it. Throughout dinner we had piled the plates up so that our server could easily clear our table but by the time we left the plates were still there. Maybe it was a bad night for the restaurant or maybe Moretti’s fails to deliver in upscale food quality and decent service. I won’t be back to figure out which it is."
"We came here for restaurant week with some friends and I’d never been to this shopping center before. The restaurant is set back from the parking lot and has a nice outdoor patio and some indoor seating. Overall I thought the atmosphere was nice and there was some bustling for restaurant week going about. We got the fixed menu which they changed from what had been advertised earlier. The food was OK. Not horrible but not amazing. I started with the gazpacho which was well seasoned and the croutons on top were a nice addition with a good crunch. Then I got the Cacio e Pepe which was a bit non traditional with a noodle I’m less familiar with. The dish was described as having a sausage crumble but instead large chunks of sausage was scattered on top. The pasta was severely overcooked. The chocolate cake at the end was actually my favorite but my partner thought it was overly sweet. I thought it hit the right spot though. Now the real lousy part of the evening was the service. Our server was not very personable and not very assertive and slow. She did not clear the dishes between courses from our table which just accumulated and she couldn’t remember who ordered what- they may have been busier than usual but they weren’t that busy."
"Wow!! Hidden gem. Food was delicious and atmosphere was great. Big portions and prices are fair. Outdoor dining patio is so cute and nice ambiance. I had the spicy sausage ziti and my husband had the chicken parm and we both loved our food and have a whole meal’s worth of leftovers. We also got the bacon Gorgonzola salad and the crispy beef ravioli, which were great as well. Bread is on the house and comes with a really unique and tasty butter."
