Founded in 2018 by a group of hockey parents and former Columbus Blue Jacket Cam Atkinson, The Battery has trained over 5,500 youth athletes and has teams currently ranked in the Top 10 in the country.
With the support of Byers Auto Group, The Battery's travel teams will now be known as Battery Byers Elite and Battery Byers Selects for the upcoming season. Byers will provide the teams with professional-grade jerseys, socks, apparel, and more. This partnership reflects The Battery's commitment to creating a positive community relationship and helping to grow local businesses, while also providing their players with the best resources for success.

"Completely unprofessional tournament today. Opposing mite team was completely out of control, body checking. my son was hit from behind and broke his collarbone. I tried to talk to the tournament director (Joey) who was nowhere to be found. Left my phone number -- apparently it's not important enough to call be back. I never signed any waivers about injury and participation. I will never return to this cesspool of an establishment. If you are considering having your kids skate at this place, I suggest you think again. Clearly there is no concern for player safety as championed by USA Hockey in the past few years."
