Reviews of Medina Veterinary Clinic
"They were super friendly and treated my cats with care. Even sent us home with a med for my oldest cat to take because she was too grumpy for her physical. A++"
"I wish I had read the most recent reviews as they are the most truth-telling. All of the positive reviews are from when Dr. Parker was still there but they skew the average. I needed to update my dog's shots and have the vet complete a form, as after over 20 hours of training, we passed the therapy dog evaluation. However, multiple staff took my dog out of the room, held him down for a blood draw. He whined, tried to get away, and after 30-45 seconds of communicating to them he did not like what was happening, he eventually growled. The vet told me she felt it was the same as a child hugging the animal (which has happened by both children at sports practices and toddlers who have harassed him off leash and he has been patient and calm). The groomer has also never had any issues and adores him. When I made this case she said you can't control children (I guess trying to state that a child may pin him down and stick him with a needle for near a minute?) I walked out so frustrated. My sister also had a poor experience days ago here as they were pushing for medical tests when there was very logical explanations for weight gain. This may be the first poor review I've ever left, it's not my style, however having two poor experiences within days (me and my sisters dog) and seeing the other reviews caused me to want to affirm them and hoping to save someone else some time and irritation."
"Dr. Parker is no longer there. This is a very different practice. I brought my dog in for vaccinations. Not only was I told that he would not see Dr. Parker, but staff was rude. I will not take my pets back nor recommend. When telling my neighbors about the practice they are changing to another veterinarian as well. Bad business practices and awful clinicians."
"After 30 years today ended our relationship with this practice. We have had 9 dogs cared for in those years. Today we found out Dr. Parker is no longer at the practice. She would be mortified to know that this once top vet practice has gone to hell. Eight of the 9 dogs cared for in this practice were /are rescued. Dr. Parker and her former staff took the time to understand each one of our animals. This new team has no idea how to provide even the smallest level of customer service and or have one bit of compassion for a terrified animal. Our newest rescue is aggressive with strangers. We have never had an aggressive animal so this is new to us too. Suggested was to give tranquilizers before visit. Stated it will only make your animal loopy. There are numerous ways to help a frightened animal besides medicating to the point of loopiness. We have had this dog in under prior leadership and have had no issues. We could tell from the moment we walked in the door that it was not going to go well. The smirking snearing attitude of the heavier set lady with long dark hair was not appropriate. Had the young lady that had done our dog's anal glands MANY times without issue been there (records will support my statement) all would have went well. Today when the lady called and said my husband could not stay with our dog during this procedure in the future abd that they had a prescription for her to take the night before and the morning of her next visit ended it for us. 30 years 9 dogs thousands of dollars for torn ACL'S ,annual checkups, heartguard nexguard and two with cancer, two with cushings disease and one person who failed to take all that into account cost this practice our business. I will share my experience with others that also probably don't know of the change in ownership. Dr. Parker would not be pleased."
"Love Doctor Paker and all her vet tech. Especially the young male tech. He was so consoling when I had to put down 2 of my dogs Fifi and Oreo This is Nibbles fast asleep"
