"My previous review was great. We took our dog Mya up there, and it was a great experience. This time, we took my cat, Herbie up there to get fixed, and the whole experience was messed up. He was a new patient and had a check-up on Monday and castration on Tuesday. I wasn't going to be able to pay the full bill like I wanted, but I could put $100 down and the balance paid on that Thursday. I called the receptionist, and at first, they misquoted and said it was $231, then came back on the phone and said $311. I told her I could take care of it on Thursday, minus the $100 we'd pay today. She had me on hold and then asked the doctor, and they agreed on that arrangement. When my husband went up to pay, with the arrangement that was made less than an hour ago, they threatened to keep our animal next time unless he paid half. Then, they kept hassling him to pay half, neglecting the arrangement that they agreed to. This made the whole experience awkward and embarrassing for my husband because there were other people waiting in line. Next time an arrangement is made, they should note it in the chart and honor it. Also, apparently, this is a policy change from what it used to be; that should be something you tell your customers. I think it was mentioned in another post that the son took over the practice. Repeat business is what keeps businesses going, and customer service and reviews are big drivers of that. New ownership needs to remember that. Normally, I won't schedule appointments without money allocated for it, but we have a tight budget, and unplanned events happen."

"Duncan family business used by all of my extended family. Gentle, kind staff & vets. Full service practice that did not push expensive procedures or medications as some vet clinics do. Told me exam did not indicate need for x-ray & successfully treated 11 day limp with anti-inflammatory pills. Recommended trying diphenhydramine (Benadryl) before buying prescription drugs for itching & it's 100% effective...@ only 4cents/tablet"

"A great place to take your fur babies if you’re looking for exceptional care. My family has been going to Litchfield for years. Our most recent visit was for my 11 year old cat. He’d been sick for a few days before I realized he wasn’t getting any better. I walked in and they took us with no hesitation. Dr. Jessie was very informative with care options. I had to make the ultimate choice to put him down. I was a total mess and Dr. Jessie and the staff were supportive and showed empathy. After his passing I received a card in the mail with thoughtful words. I’ve had not so great experiences with other vets. In my opinion Litchfield Veterinary Clinic is one of the top vets in the Medina area."

"We've been going to Litchfield Vet for some years, and have had good experiences and our pets love the staff. Sadly Friday we took our beloved 15 yr old Charlie to cross the rainbow bridge. Dr. Kyle and Nurse Carol were wonderful and compassionate. Both were very professional and showed my husband and I sympathy in one of the hardest times in our lives. We love this vet. 11/18/2022"
