"What kind of urgent care doesn't have x-ray machines? They send us to the emergency room and then the emergency room physician looks at us like this is not an emergency. 4 times they've sent us to the Emergency Room, and the service was nothing that couldn't have been provided in an office setting."

"We checked in at 7:35 pm (in person) with an ill toddler. Only one patient was ahead of us in the waiting room. The front desk put us on the waiting list, and as soon as the clock turned 8 pm, she came to us and said we were closed and turned us away. We insisted that our child was ill and we checked in 25 min before closing, but a nurse came to us and repeated the same thing. We even requested to talk with the supervisor, but was told the supervisor (Doctor) was visiting another patient and could not see us! Very unprofessional, rude and irresposnible! We left the facility and would never come back again. We will certainly switch to another provider as the LAST thing the Akron Children's seems to care about is the CHILDREN."

"Been here numerous times admission desk staff on last visit was rude as I was unaware that the hours had changed otherwise i obviously would not have come in 10min to close as a hospital employee myself. I went following my pediatricians referral only to smugly be turned away with a crying cropping child. Just another reminder that visiting is a waste of time and money and it is better to simply go to PCP pediatrician or ER for those parents that work 12hr shifts."

"Update: I change my rating to 3 stars. We went there again for the fourth time. It was super slow again like the first two times. When we checked in, there was only 1 person in front of us in the waiting area. But we had very long waiting in the waiting area after checking in, very long waiting in the exam room for the doctor to come, very long time waiting for the nurse to print out the visit summary after the doctor left. Totally 2 hours for the visit, 98% of the time was waiting in between, including 15 minutes waiting for the nurse to print the visit summary. The doctor was with us about 2 or 3 minutes. No explanation for some of our questions, very rush. Our last experience was really pleasant. It really depends on which nurse and doctors you will have. Some of them are very quick and efficient but some are super slow and stalling. Not sure we want to go there again. ‐---------------- We have been there three times. The first two times were about 1 year or 1 year and half ago. Back then we had super long waiting time in the lobby and the exam room, not pleasant experience especially for a sick child. But this time, although there were two families before us, we were called short after checking in. Jason, the nurse was very nice and got things moving quickly. The physicians were nice too, listened to us and explained things well. Highly recommended!"
