Lion & Lamb Peace Arts Center
About the Business
The Lion & Lamb Peace Arts Center, located at 1 University Dr in Bluffton, Ohio, is a unique institution that serves as both an art gallery and museum. Founded in 1987 by Dr. Elizabeth "Libby" Hostetler, the center aims to provide resources for children to develop a vision of peace through art and education. Visitors can explore a diverse collection of sculptures, fine art, children's artwork, and original illustrations from picture books.
In addition to the artwork, the center also houses over 4,000 picture books, children's books, curriculum guides, and teacher references. Visitors are welcome to browse the library collection, as well as enjoy the artwork and sculptures both inside the center and in the Honda Outdoor Sculpture Garden.
Dr. Paul Neufeld Weaver, professor of education at Bluffton University, now serves as the center's director, with Tareq Abuhalima from Gaza, Palestine, co-directing as a graduate assistant. The Lion & Lamb Peace Arts Center relies on financial contributions to continue its mission of promoting peace-learning and peace-living. To support the center, donations can be made online or by check payable to The Lion & Lamb Peace Arts Center.
