"I'm a chronic late night shopper. I do miss the 24 hours days prior to covid where you could shop without Karens and large crowds. Despite the later shopping time when I do my shopping the shelves remain pretty stocked. (i remember during COVID it was hard but they still did better than everyone else during thise times which is what made me switch from kroger to meijer in the first place) The staff who close the store are very nice. They've been putting up with my last minute checkouts for the past few years and it's nice to always see the same faces. It's a much more pleasant shopping experience than walmart down the street. I usually make it to the self checkout before midnight but the stragglers in the store are greeted with kindness and I have never heard any of the employees complain about them and i have never witnessed any of the staff rush them out if the store. In fact the guy who alerts us shoppers that the store will be closing says it in a very kind way rather than Wally world's announcer. I hope they keep the same staff they have had up here and continue to do what they are doing to keep them around (but they honestly deserve a raise because they're awesome)"
