UH Brook Park Urgent Care Partnering with Southwest General

"We were told upon arrival that there would be a wait and we were fine with that. We had tried going to the ER before coming to Brookpark and were told that he wouldn’t be seen for hours so we were ready to wait. The nurse we had was great, asked all the questions needed and understood our concerns. “Pam”, the PC we saw, was the complete opposite! Her exam of my boyfriend was under 30 seconds and the total time spent in the room was under 2 minutes. My boyfriend has COPD, so when I asked if we could have a chest X-ray to make sure it wasn’t pneumonia, Pam said to me we are not a drs office. When asked what does she think he has, Pam replied this is all a guessing game. I have never felt like “just a number” within the UH healthcare system ! Pam still has a job to do and provide peace of mind to the patients she sees on a daily basis, and based on my experience today, she is not capable of doing so."

"I needed to come here after I had cut my finger and needed stitches on a Saturday morning. I had called ahead to make sure they were able to provide stitches (as some of the places I called said they didn’t) and inquired about the current wait time. I arrived around 10am and was only waiting for about 10-15 minutes before I was seen and taken back for care which was wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly, listened to my care preferences and needs, and took care of me in a timely manner (I know it also helped that it wasn’t very busy when I arrived). Highly recommend this facility. I usually add photos but I will skip that this time ;)"

"February 15, 2023 I took my daughter up there to get checked out and they told me my insurance expired and I should just go to Metro and spend 100 bucks for her to be seen. She was not helpful at all to me, I know calling my insurance when I got home and I do have insurance(I wish I would’ve thought of that,call assurance there). The lady was very rude and not helpful at the front desk that day, I had to go to another UH Hospital for my daughter to be seen."

"2 different times I got sent away being misdiagnosed. Once I was told I had a uti when it was actually a kidney stone. Most recent was when I was told I did not have strep....went to Cleveland clinic....tested positive for strep. They made me sit on the ground because there weren't enough chairs even after I asked to move one from the hallway which was not occupied. This place is an absolute joke and a complete waste of time and money. Do not go here if you can help it."
