"Their billing department is a fraud. I was seen in feb 2022 at tri health western ridge. I never received a bill from QES. Fast forward to March 2023, I was seen in the same ER. I received a bill from QES for $841. I paid in full assuming since it was the beginning of the year, I had not yet met my deductible. I later found out that this claim was never submitted to my insurance. After calling several months in a row, I finally got them to bill the correct insurance for the march 2023 visit. Insurance paid 100% as my deductible had since been met as it took them several months to finally submit the claim. They then took $841 refund i was owed and applied it towards an outstanding bill from 2022, which I never received. I later learned that the bill from 2022 was outstanding as again they never submitted it to my insurance. They submitted the claim to TRICARE, which i have never been insured under in my life. I have since spent several months trying to get them to submit a claim for a visit in 2022. My insurance has since denied the claim from February 2022, due to them not filing in a timely manner. After another half hour, long conversation with a supervisor today, I’m left frustrated with still no solution. They verbalized that they received an explanation of benefits, stating that this was denied due to not filing within a reasonable time. I ended the phone call with them as they continued to state that this is money owed by me to them despite them being at fault for not filing in a timely manner (which could have been avoided if they did not require 30 days to ‘review my file’ every time i called). At this point I have decided to get an attorney and i am also filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau. I work in healthcare myself and have been extremely frustrated with this process. I’m very fortunate to understand the ins and out of insurance claims and processing. It is extremely disappointing knowing that others are not fortunate to have enough time to babysit this company to get money that they are entitled to. It is very unfortunate that Trihealth continues to work with this group, despite the several complaints this company has."
"Dumber than a box of rocks. They run insurance through the wrong insurance company even though they have a copy of your card and phone number and address of the insurance company. Has happened multiple times. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know how to submit an insurance claim to the correct insurance company when all the information is right in front of you."
"Seen at TRIHEALTH Western Ridge ER, for a slip and fall on ice, in February, 2022,was treated very unprofessional by the ER doctor, shouting my name out loud and stating my emergency situation that nothing wrong with me, he never evaluated me, the PA ordered test X-rays, I did report him to TRIHEALTH patient advocate services, my ER records had been changed signing his name as the attending physician, he never stepped into the treatment area I was in after lying over two hours waiting for him to evaluate me, I was released and later had to see a spine specialist I had suffered a TBI, severe headaches, nosebleeds, in July, 2022 I had spinal surgery for cord compression and cervical disc was pushed out which could had caused me me to be paralyzed waist down, I still need another surgery but due to my medical problems I am not a good candidate, I have been placed in collections because they billed my car insurance and not my two medical insurance that pay at 100%, I have no copay, contacted billing department told them to refile to my medical insurance, they did not, contacted the the collection company told them the same even faxed my insurance information to them, I am still in collections, did file a complaint contacted collections asked them to straighten out their poor service for billing, no one has. This is unfair to the patient who has provided them the necessary credentials, I was a coder and biller my self, this company billed my injury as an automobile accident WRONG, it was a slip and fall on ice on a private lot of a medical practice where I was knocked out, concussion and spinal cord injury."
"The doctors were good. But the level of incompetence and lack of transparency of this provider's billing department is beyond the pale. If your provider uses Qualified Emergency Specialists expect to get peppered with random bills with no clarity and way to know if they are correct or not. They have not worked efficiently with our insurance company either. For sure, such incompetence results in much wasted time and adds undue stress to patients already facing serious medical issues. Qualified Emergency Specialists billing department needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. We will likely seek treatment from providers that do not use them in the future."
"Worst billing department ever and may even be fraud. They will threaten to send you to collections for a bill that has some relevant information but not legitimate charges. The charges they wanted from me had already been paid months prior directly by my insurance company, which was confirmed with the hospital. After calling them and asking for support for the charges, they could provide nothing, but continued to threaten collections."
