"I had 3 foot surgeries with Dr. Barrens in 2015 & 2016 /2017 One was a re-do. (not his fault) I think he is an excellent surgeon. My foot surgeries were a success. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon. After the surgeries, when I remained a customer, for my orthotics, and other issues, I found him/the office to be uncaring, rude, money gauging, and realized he really does not value or care about me as a person. They are about the money and do not even try to hide it. . Again, if you are getting surgery, he is great. I am leaving the practice because I have been mistreated .They are greedy, and rude, and have no customer service do not care about your satisfaction or feelings, and will nickel and dime you where ever they can, you are just a paycheck for them. I will not go into specifics, but they really can mistreat. There also were some mistakes made, that caused me to have an ill-fitting orthotics and it was due to not listening, not caring enough."

"I had a splinter in my foot that I wasn't sure was a splinter or possibly a planter's wart. I wanted a professionals opinion. That opinion plus a 2-second removal of a splinter cost me $620.02. No wonder insurance rates are so high. My out-of-pocket was $344.45. I will never go back."

"I will say I thought this was the best place to go, I had a total ankle replacement with dr brarens less than a year later I needed another surgery, have always paid my bills and need to see him every year for a check on the TAR, well I am having really bad pain and issues with the two surgeries he has done so I try to go see the doc and I am told they wont see me because I have a balance of 280 dollars, they refused to make arrangements when I have always paid and obviously do not care about my health concerns and issues only about the money. I am sorry but you can not expect a person on low income to just throw 300 at you. I am very willing and tried to make arrangements and they refused and were totally fine with me finding a new doc, the billing lady has always been super rude from day one. Theres not much you can do but I wanted other people to be aware of the issue cause even though I have major issues that include redness, soft tissue swelling and possible losening of my implant that they only wanted to have the 280 dollars instead of being concerned about my health and wellness. Please go to an office where they will care about you not the dollar signs."
