"I have never left a Google review for anywhere before, but I was so infuriated with my experience here that I decided this will be my first one. I went to get my cat his annual rabies vaccine, and the vaccine administration itself went well and only lasted a couple seconds. However, Dr. Sophia Rodriguez speaks in a condescending way that makes me feel belittled and disrespected as a patient. Additionally, the clinic brochure on the website and posted outside the door states that the cat rabies vaccine costs $33, so I went in expecting to pay around $33 for the visit. I was charged $71 for an additional physical exam that never happened and that I didn't ask for. When I asked why I had been charged for a physical exam, Dr. Sophia Rodriguez responded that she was listening to my cat's heart and lungs while administering the vaccine, therefore a physical exam had been conducted and I should pay her for her time. She did nothing else that a patient would expect when paying for a full physical exam. Monitoring the cat's heart and lungs is protocol for rabies vaccine administration, and I've gone to many vet clinics for vaccines in the past (VetCo, Banfield, vet office, local clinics) and I've never been charged for a physical exam in addition to the vaccine service price. One would think that monitoring the cat's pulse and breathing would be included in the rabies vaccine service cost. The clinic should be transparent about the additional fee from the start or adjust the advertised vaccine service cost to reflect what they really intend to charge their customers. This was a complete ripoff and I recommend never getting a vaccine from Dr. Sophia Rodriguez at the VIP Petcare Wellness Center in Lyndhurst again."

"I absolutely love VIP Petcare! I feel comfortable and confident my babies are being taken care of! It’s like a family for me. Melissa is so kind and helpful. There is a vet at VIP that is passionate about allergies and he is so informative and simply wonderful to talk to. He is responsible for getting my Boston on track with his allergies and his skin healthy. I have a had so many struggles with allergies for my Boston and they have been so patient with my questions and concerns. As a pet parent, VIP checks all the boxes for me. They are kind, caring, knowledgeable and affordable! I have no doubt my babies are in good hands!"
