"I would not recommend this office to anyone that is pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant. At my first pregnancy appointment (8.5 weeks along) they told me that they don’t do an ultrasound or bloodwork until the 2nd appointment. My husband came along because we were hoping that he could be there for the ultrasound, but it turns out that he took a half day off work to just sit with me through over an hour of waiting, going over my complicated medical history, more waiting, and a pelvic exam. They can’t get me in for my ultrasound/2nd overall appointment until I’m 11.5 weeks along. I even asked if I could do the ultrasound outpatient and they said no. I could probably get over this if this wasn’t a “high risk pregnancy” (per the doctor), but I will very likely be transferred to Maternal Fetal Medicine because of my medical history. The kicker is that MFM won’t see me until there is proof of a pregnancy in my uterus (aka an ultrasound). I tried to transfer to another TriHealth practice, but I would be considered a totally new pregnant patient (not a transfer because no ultrasound so it’s almost as if I’ve never been seen for this pregnancy) and they can’t get me in any sooner. I feel like this office is dropping the ball when it comes to my care and my hands are tied because I don’t really have any other options that would get me seen any sooner besides going to the emergency room (which I won’t do because it’s not a true emergency). I’ve mentioned my concerns to the office multiple times and they’ve done nothing but tell me to wait. I feel stuck and ignored. I would look elsewhere for OB care. I wish I had!"
"*Clifton Office* I was a patient here for over ten years and ended up switching practices entirely half way through my pregnancy because almost every OB I met with seemed jaded, judgmental, and unfriendly. As a first time excited mom, my only regret is not switching practices sooner. Find a place that treats you with respect and friendliness. Two specific OBs had horrible bedside manners and seemed to lack empathy. I filed a patient relations complaint and never heard back."
"From front desk to the Dr’s themselves, this place is great! Never had to wait too long to be taken back, and even got seen when I was pretty late to an ultrasound and follow up due to pregnancy brain mixing the times up. Though I haven’t seen the same provider too often (some have even been one and done,) they all are very kind and knowledgeable! I will be using this office well after I deliver my baby."
"I have never been made to feel like such an idiot by a doctor before. We love Dr. Barnhorst! But the other 3 doctors we have seen have been inconsistent with information, not friendly, and not informative. If you are a young mother I highly do not recommend this office as you are treated like you shouldn't have any questions. I am switching practices at 29 weeks pregnant because I am terrified to have any of the other doctors I've met deliver my child. The reception staff was also quite rude when I expressed these concerns upon scheduling further appointments."
"Great group of doctors with years of experience in Gynecology. My wife was taken great care through out her pregnancy and we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy at Good Sam. We never had any difficulty in scheduling appointments even during the last weeks of pregnancy. There were times where we called them the same day and they some how managed to make an appointment for the same day. My wife and I are really grateful to all the doctors and nurses at For Women, namely Dr. Clark, Dr. LeMasters, Dr. Parobeck, Dr. Kessler, Dr. Rinala, Dr. Mucenski and Dr. Wurzbacher. Special shout out to nurse Stephanie, she was very helpful throughout answering questions from my wife. I strongly recommend For Women after the wonderful experience my wife and I had ."
