Reviews of Huey & Weprin Ob/Gyn
"Here to say what an amazing job Dr Crye Did delivering my twin boys via C-section Monday 02/19/2024! Knowing how scared I was they talked to me through the whole thing the whole team was very comforting ! Even during the spinal tap dr crye was right there ! My incision look great as well !!"
"Had a bad experience with Lisa when I first went. She was very dismissive and seemed like she didn’t care. I had a lovely nurse I spoke to who made me decide to go back and try another of the doctors. Everyone so far aside from her have been awesome. I feel like I’m being listened to and not dismissed"
"Wow this experience was 5+!Dr Madsen was wonderful so compassionate and listened to all my history etc. Her Nurse was amazing! Front desk ladies were great too!"
"Love this place! I just became a patient and they treated me very well. All of the ladies are friendly and I loved talking to Jill Goff about health advice and aging. Fast scheduling of annual check up and they take their time to answer questions."
"I was a patient at Huey and Weprin for a short period of time due to questionable medical decisions and a case of "the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing." The one-step, two-hour glucose test should've raised a red flag. There is a reason the ACOG recommends the two-step approach, and if you read about the differences, you will find that the one-step glucose test Huey and Weprin conduct is two to three times more likely to diagnose you with Gestational Diabetes. After being told I had GD, I asked two things. 1) To take the 3-hour glucose test and 2) if I was going to be flagged with GD, that I wanted my next ultrasound to be cancelled and a referral sent to MFM. I was denied both requests. I called my previous OBGYN, as we had moved mid-pregnancy, and they strongly advised I switch practices. For the next week, I did the finger prick tests while I searched for a new OB. The ONLY thing I ate that put my glucose number near 140 was a cinnamon roll, donut, and a glass of OJ. After finding a new OBGYN, I passed the 3-hour glucose test without a problem. I wonder how many women at this office have to prick their fingers for 10-12 weeks when they could just save themselves the trouble and do the 3-hour glucose test. And, if you are truly diagnosed with GD, an MFM referral is not out of the question; in fact, for many offices, that referral is standard practice. More - the communication is lacking. As one example, when I called for the email to send my records release form, the person I spoke to told me I should've asked to speak with the office manager about my requests, as they shouldn't have been denied. The office manager, scheduler, and nurses/medical assistants should all be on the same page. I had similar communication frustrations with scheduling appointments. Overall, not only can I not recommend Huey and Weprin, and I advise you, the reader, to consider other options."
