"My kids started with Dr.Dave a when he left we switched to Dr. Kartan. We all love her an my kids are happy when they have to go see her."
"Guess they are too busy too keep their patients. Even if you drive from 35 miles but late for 14 mins, you won’t be allowed to see the doctor. Also, you will be considered no show. I am not coming back here."
"(1st part)i am so disappointed in the decline of care/compassion of this office. I have taken my kids here since birth and have mostly loved the care they have gotten up until a few years ago.The first thing that i noticed i didnt like was a well child check up when the dr(iwill leave unnamed as im not going to be that disrespectful towards her)stated in front of my daughter that she was considered obese (at 8) yrs old and that i was feeding her too much and spoke to her telling her she needed to not eat snacks much or big portions anymore. I felt as if that was rude and not for her to say or decide as i am her mother. Now mind you she was just over the hump on their chart so maybe 3lbs over. Not only did that destroy my daughters self confidence, but i progressively noticed her being more self conscious and extremely down on herself to the point refused to wear shorts or dresses bc she felt “fat”.fast forward a couple of years.she had become very OCD with extreme anxiety. Everything had to be in the right place and if it wasn't she wasnt ok until it was. We also discovered that her and my other daughter developed ADHD.The dr. Put them both on medication for the ADHD and things had gotten better for them at school, but we always felt like our concerns weren't being taken serious. It got to the point where my daughters wouldn’t speak on the different effects bc they would feel dumb or what they were saying was a lie.(for example my oldest felt her medication made her feel more focused, but it also at times made her feel almost tired.) now fast forward.after they switched over to a new name or whatever it was things changed.my children were asked to be seen once every 3 months for a med check to make sure everything was going ok and to get refills.a little back story.. i am a single mother of 2 doing everything on my own. I completely rely on a reminder phone call for their upcoming appointment. Call me a bad parent, unorganized, or whatever all you want .. but for me and my chaotic life .. its just not practical for me to place the appt on my fridge or on my calendar or whatever… im just simply not going to remember. Those phone calls are what i rely on and always have. Never have i once had an issue in the past before things switched over., but once they did i have not been receiving calls at all , so therefore me not receiving those phone calls makes my children have a missed appointment, which in return puts a mark against their strict 3 no show rule. After the first “no phone call reminder” i notified the office of the issue and they get into their system and figured out what had happened. Somehow my mothers old phone number got out as the primary contact , so it was notifying that number. Great i thought the issue was fixed . Boy was i wrong.. 3 months later i miss the appointment again! Low and behold, the number never got changed or got switched back somehow. 3 months later, guess again.. SAME THING! but this time i get told that my number is the primary phone number .. but yet i never received any phone call out of the 2 or 3 im suppose to receive . At this point im on high alert and make sure i had reminders all over so i didnt forget the next appointment… unfortunately my father had fallen ill and we had to go out of town to help him out for a few days.. however i did notify the dr via voicemail 2 days prior that i would need to reschedule and politely asked if i were able to go ahead and get a refill on their prescriptions as they would be out by the next time an appointment could be made and i was called back and told a script was sent in and would be getting a call about scheduling. I never received a call.. when i returned home i had a letter in the mailbox stating that they were dropping my children that had been seeing them their whole lives as patients. I immediately called and begged for them to not drop my children as they have gone their whole lives and tried to explain the situation and everything that had happened and the woman i spoke to was so rude and disrespectful.adding rest on another review."
"Worst place I ever decided to take my kids. They just care about being paid. I was late for minutes past the grace period due to an emergency room visit and there was no compassion or understanding. They just make you aware that they will consider you a no show and still try to charge your insurance. I will be removing my kids as soon as I find a new office."
"Both our kids have gone here since birth, and we’ve had an overall very positive experience! Dr. Kartan is personable, kind, and knowledgeable. The nurses and scheduling ladies are incredibly kind and patient with my kids! We did have a couple of sick day appointments where we saw Dr. Alain, and he did not listen well to us or have a good bedside manner, which is the only reason I am giving 4 stars."
