"Area temps is not a good company misleading information and then they tell you there going to help you find a job but then don’t know details or anything leading up to the first day pay etc would not recommend this company to anyone"
"Mindy and Mike are both liars!!!! I called about a part time position that was posted and spoke with Mindy who claimed that the position was still available. I schedule an appointment to go in to complete tons of paperwork for nothing per usual. I interviewed with Mike who now claims the position had been filled but the company supposedly was looking to terminate someone…lol!!! Anyhow I really believe that they get paid per application filled because this isn’t a first time for me with this same agency, however I am having someone look into this for me to find out what they’re doing shady because something clearly isn’t legit with what they’re doing with your info. Good luck to those whom don’t believe all of the negative reviews, it’s all real!!! And Mike never return phone calls"
"Area Temps is a waste of my time. I’m not going to keep submitting my resume and keep calling and crawling after them for TEMPORARY work. They really want you to take clients way out in “no man’s land “ when gas is almost $4 a d*mn gallon. I literally only needed work for a week and a half just until I start my real job and they couldn’t even manage to do that. I wanted my resume to be presented to various prospects to get me on a assignment but they do less than bare minimum and show you to ONE client and think they did their job. These people had me fill out all this paperwork for a runaround. The bad reviews are consistent and true."
"Took close to a week for my background check and it did finally come back which is longer than usual so due to the job I waited. Got a call from Gale and was patronized on the phone how I don’t have experience using Quick Books. Ffs excuse me for it not being on my Indeed profile in writing. I described to her where I’ve used it and she talked over me constantly and had this attitude about it like mmmm ok yeah sure. Me and Jessica had went over everything in person and now the story switches a WEEK after. This is why you guys have a 2 star review. People are looking for jobs to make MONEY and you try to belittle us. Make sure you if you go here EVERY little detail about your life is on your resume including when you last had dinner. They have all my info and now a week I’m left without work having to wait now some more. I’ve never had this experience with any company that I’ve worked for in my life. LOL"
"Was very hesitant to apply due to the previous ratings but decided to give this place a chance. Mike at the Lakewood location interviewed me over the phone for the position I applied for and said he would submit my info. He also said he would let me know either way if the company wants to move forward with me or not. Three weeks have gone by and no word from Mike or Mindy. I've called 4 times over the last 2 weeks and left a voicemail. NOTHING! Now I see why this place has horrible ratings. Don't waste your time. I've received more interviews and call backs on my own. I called the brunswick location and asked Neil to take me out of their system. He told me I could always try a different location or he could help me find something but to be honest at that point I was done with area temps. I shouldnt have to go to another location or speak with the assistant manager to get help. It's very simple, don't waste people's time if the position isn't available or tell them you'll reach out if you can't even keep your word. You're a recruiter and it's your JOB to help find employment for people. If you can't get back to a client in a timely fashion then you either you have WAY to many people on your plate or you're not doing your job correctly."
