"App easy to use. Just wish 1st lesson would be an evaluation for proper level placement instead of placing based on answering 3 questions upon registering online. Child was a level above ability for first 2 lessons prior to asking for evaluation by supervisor. Like the 4 to 1 ratio for class size."
"We have had all three of our daughters at Aqua Tots. They have had such a positive experience here. Everyone is friendly and scheduling classes is a breeze on their app. I would highly recommend taking classes here!"
"My daughter absolutely loves coming for swim lessons! She has gained confidence in the water and learned important safety skills. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable, and I love the flexibility of being able to use makeup classes when we can’t make it!"
"We love Aqua Tots! The small class size is so nice, they don't do over 4 kids per class. If other kids are not present, it's almost like a private lesson! The instructors are so sweet and get the kids comfortable in the water. I like that they get them underwater too and teach safety. I have only been coming for a few months and have notice a huge difference in skills (really they couldn't do anything before lessons!). If I could change anything I wish that class time was at least 45 minutes instead of 30."
"The facility is generally clean and everyone is nice which is of course important and appreciated. However, there are a lot of cons that seem to be getting worse since I committed this summer to a year of swim lessons for my infant son: -Instructor turnover is beyond terrible. I’ve seen a new face almost every week. A lot of the experienced instructors from the summer went back to school apparently and left them with a huge staff shortage that they have not been able to overcome since. -Classes have been canceled on us too many times, sometimes within 24 hours of the class. -There are very few makeup class options (this past week there was only one class that had availability in the entire 10 day span surrounding our canceled class). The only classes we have missed were when my son was sick, we were out of town, or the school canceled the class. We have 10 makeup passes we are struggling to use. -New instructors are not adequately trained so they are either getting help from other instructors in the water who are trying to focus on their own students or they are getting help from seasoned parents who are in the water with their babies in Level 1. This results in a lot of inconsistency in instruction and feedback. Most importantly, the biggest challenge with the new instructors is that they do not themselves know the proper cues for submerging infants which is a serious safety risk and makes me uncomfortable letting them submerge my son, which is the whole purpose of signing him up for swim lessons (to get comfortable with being under water). I shouldn’t be the most knowledgeable person in the class—the instructor should be able to put me at ease that they are well trained enough to know more than I do about safe submersion. If things don’t improve I will either be looking elsewhere or canceling when the time comes in July if we can make it until then. If my son keeps being subjected to inconsistent instruction we might just cut our losses before then."
