"This place is a JOKE! You can call and be placed on hold. Once you are on hold it will say that you are caller number one. Then as you wait on hold, it progresses you up to number 11. You can't meet these people in person. When you try to call and schedule an online appointment, the automated system will not let you. The officers of the community action agency earn over $100,000.00 per year and this is the best they can do?"
"On the phone waiting to speak to someone about help with my electric bill finally got through and received the answering machine that automated answering isn’t good for seniors at all I guess I try tomorrow again"
"They will only help if you’ve had covid. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and need surgery at 41 years old. I’ve never needed assistance in my life until now. I’ve gathered donations for the free store for 11 years all year around but when I finally need help, I can’t get it because I’ve never had covid. Now I’m facing eviction and have a notice from Duke to get my electric cut off. Only two months behind about to lose everything! Just doesn’t seem fair at all."
"These people will leave you high and dry and 110% homeless with your children. They get our money as a “non profit” but do not care if you actually are getting kicked out or not. You guys have a place in you know what for all of you"
"They don't help with NOTHING. Every time You call the Phone Appointment Line, You will get a recording telling You they are full. If you go up there, they will just give You a piece of paper with Phone Numbers and They Never answer. Don't waste Your Time because they will not Help."
