There are gun threats and daily fights. Kids are allowed to make violent threats with little to no reprimand. Even the teachers are unhappy. Explore your options."

"Dater (Gilbert A.) High School is horrible in my opinion. If you plan for your child to go to Dater, have a change in mind. The students happen to get into the wrong crowds. Fights happen over the smallest things. Drama follows people and you cannot escape it. Students often skip classes and fail. The school system sucks because the teachers aren't doing anything to prevent bullying. If you wear the wrong clothes, too small, slightly obese, messy hair... people will degrade you. Suicides happen over these things. Small students kiss in the hallway and cuddle with their love interest. If your child is not ready to date, stay away from those boys. They are too thirsty for girls. A couple of small kids at Dater just want the 'nasty' . I should know, because some people in my class tell that. This is a bad learning environment for your child. I would consider a change in schools."

"This has got to be one of the worst schools ever. This for me is number 1 as the worst schools in the tri state. I was bullied by the students, the teachers, because I had illnesses and injuries that are permanent. I literally just gave a essay on Walnut hills and why I don't like that school as well but with this school It is really not worth my time or effort to explain my stories here. Basically the kids are out of control and are disrespectful (from the time I was there and that was about 5 years ago, pretty sure nothing has changed.) The teachers don't care about the kids, but who would? The kids do not care about themselves. They pick on you if you are a virgin (same with walnut I was picked on for that) I was picked on because I was actually nice and wasn't ghetto. I was talked about because of my hair, my hair was pulled, my own "friend" called my the b word. The teachers could careless. The teachers didn't care about me because I missed school days and they just gave up on me. This school is the definition or classless and ghetto. I am sorry but I will NEVER lower myself to those people because they are not going to grade or hand me my diploma or my degree OR my paycheck. To the parents, by all costs, AVOID THIS SCHOOL, IT IS TERRIBLE. (In my opinion, again not stating facts, I am stating my opinion, you may not have the same experience as me and I pray no one does.) I am so glad I put this school behind me. I am now a senior and go to online school and have colleges throwing themselves at me because God allow me to overcome everyone who didn't believe in me. I am so grateful God allowed me another way and that i was able to leave this sad excuse for a school."
