"My daughter and I had a wonderful experience learning to cook ! The chef Rhonda was so informative and creative explaining things and Joelle and the other staff were so kind and helpful! Not to mention the food was amazing :) We will definitely be back !"
"The food was great and we had a good time. But the class was very poorly run. They didn’t have enough ingredients for everyone which happened to mean we were the ones without - so other people had to “donate” food to us so we could actually participate. We were constantly missing ingredients or dishes we needed to prepare. And the class ran over by an hour - so the last dish felt rushed and chaotic. We were so disappointed based on the great things we heard."
"I've taken a few classes here. I've always loved the meals I've made and enjoyed learning new tips from the chefs. I'm very comfortable in the kitchen, but I've also gone with friends who are not as comfortable in the kitchen. The recipes and instructions are great for beginners and experienced cooks. I've throughly enjoyed the classes that focus on recipes from different parts of the world. For the price of the classes you get a starter and a main with help from talented professionals. I've had leftovers at every class I've taken, but if you have a large appetite you probably will be able to enjoy everything during class. The meals I've made have been very high quality. You're paying for an experience, the knowledge the chef brings, and a very good meal. I highly recommend taking a class that has risotto, I have made it three times since learning the recipe here and it's been perfect everytime! I'm looking forward to breaking out the recipes from the Korean bbq class to impress my friends. It was the best meal I've made in years and I'm so happy that some of the ingredients we're explained so well in class. I took pictures of containers so I could easily find them again at the market."
"Took the Date Night India at Home class last weekend. I had bought it as a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas and the class was originally scheduled for January. Due to winter weather, the class was cancelled and rescheduled for March. They gave us ample notice of the cancelled class and made rescheduling a breeze. When we arrived for our class, we were greeted by the staff and checked in. We got to pick our own workstation. Our instructor was really knowledgeable and had a lot of tips and tricks for how she prepares these meals at home. She led us in making the dishes but provided options so they could be altered to individual taste. My only complaint was that at times she was hard to hear, but either she or one of the helpers would come around to make sure the steps were understood and we were all on the same page. The quality of the ingredients was good and there was plenty of food to fill me and my boyfriend up. There is beer and wine available for purchase, and water is provided for free, though the water did run out by the end of the meal. While I don't see this as a cost-efficient date night every month, I will definitely keep an eye out for other classes to purchase for special occasions or holidays."
"I had an absolutely wonderful time on Fat Tuesday learning to cook Jambalaya! James and the staff did a tremendous job of teaching and helping make us all feel welcome. We each had our own induction heating stovetop which is unlike other local cooking classes that have you share a stovetop. James was very encouraging and open sharing many personal and local chef stories throughout the evening. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this evening from making our own salad dressing to cooking chicken breast, andouille, and shrimp spicy jambalaya!!! Check out the photos of what we created. The Learning Kitchen is absolutely worth the money. They even have the kitchen utensils that you use, and much more, on sale in their store. You receive 20% off everything the night of your class. I highly recommend this experience. Make it a date!"
