"Discovered this place a couple months ago. Have ordered the NY Style a handful of times now, and it’s been perfect every time. Drive from Highland Square in Akron for this pie. Thin, crispy, the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Great homemade dough. Big Star is doing things right. Hard to eat anything else after having this"

"First time getting food here. Got a couple pizzas for carry out and they were really good. The New York thin style was definitely my favorite. I'd give it an 8.7. Light crispy crust and the sauce...the sauce was on another level. I could drink that stuff straight. Perfect amount of cheese and pepperoni. Also got a Chicago deep dish and it was just fine,a reasonable 7. It was maybe a little overcooked but nothing that bothered me. They were really busy so I won't that against them. The family that runs the place are fantastic. As busy as they were, they still talked to the customers and were making funny jokes. I will definitely be coming back. Next time I have to try the pasta. If that sauce is as good as the pizza sauce, I'll be in a carb coma."

"The crust was perfect for NY style pizza. The pepperoni and sauce were good too. However, the sausage and cheese could have been better. All in all, the experience was good for a first time visit. I guess I'm a pizza snob from New York. I would go back."

"Just stopped at Big Star Pizza for a late dinner. We got there around 8 and even though it was late they were super friendly and welcoming. We had New York style cheese pizza, Greek salad and cheese garlic bread. Everything was really tasty. Relaxed and clean dining area. We are not from the area but if we were this would be a regular place for us."
