"I thought I'd share this. Couldn't get anyone on the phone, so I had to place my order up there. I order a protein bowl. Are they for real? Is this for kids? Hopefully the rest of the food we all ordered turned out fine"
"The server had too many tables to give the proper attention to the patrons in her area. There was very little teamwork to help her out. The manager was on the phone the whole time we were there. He didn't go out to the dining area at all, so he wasn't stopping at tables to make sure everything was satisfactory. Initially we were sat at a dirty table. The server suggested that we move to a clean table, so that was a good thing. When we sat down, we asked for coffee which took about ten minutes to get. When the server came with our food, she didn't place it on the table; instead, she haphazardly and roughly tossed it down. Almost slamming it. She wasn't rude or mean, but she seemed to lack concern as to how the abrupt food delivery and missing condiments could have been portrayed as her being apathetic to our dining experience. Twice I asked for butter for my pancakes and hot sauce for my eggs and sausage, which I never received. My husband didn't get the toast he ordered even though three times he reminded her about it. We were not billed for the toast, so that was a plus. I realize that places are short staffed, but it seems logical that the manager would be proactive in making sure he fills in the gaps in the dining area instead of being on the phone. The best person we encountered was David, the very professional young man who I think is a greeter and/or check out person. I was very impressed with his courteous and mature demeanor, especially for someone as young as he is. I see success in his future."
"We have not had great experiences at Bob's lately but this one was wonderful. It was the day after Christmas and rather busy with a lite staff. Our server was great. She handled all the tables pretty well. She was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious!"
"Bob Evans is one of my go-tos for breakfast. The food is always good and the service is usually fair but this recent trip, the waitress was not attentive at all. She wasn't bad enough for me not to return but she needs to do better and the food was still good."
"Food was much just thrown together. I got a ham and cheese omelet and what should have been well done, hashbrowns. Husband was happy with his food, mine was just messy. Cold brew was delicious, also a little messy tho. Our waitress was super nice. But she had so many other tables, we didn't get the service we usually do. Will definitely go back."
