Steak 'n Shake

"Did dine in for lunch last week. Decided I wanted something else so I ordered it through the app. Sat there 30 minutes, when my order never came up, I walked to the counter to ask. The girl that walked over was very short and rude “did you announce yourself when you came in?” No I was already here and my name was on the order. At which point she actually raised her. Once and said” how are we supposed to know you’re here if you don’t tell us?). (I went back and looked at the confirmation email later. Nowhere does it mention “announcing yourself” when you arrive to pick up an order. She finally asked me what I ordered and I said “ nevermind. I just want my money. Back so I can leave”. She says “I’m not giving you your money back”. At which point I just left the store. If you’re going to yell at a customer what are you going to do to my food before you hive it to me. (I was also on the clock and in company uniform so I had no choice but to be professional and polite.). I’ll never go back."

"I rated this place one star across-the-board because I couldn’t even get any food because even though the restaurant was supposed to be open, they closed because they were “getting their truck delivered”. As a manager of a restaurant I can’t imagine closing my doors because I’m getting a delivery. I would be closed 50% of the time. when I asked what time they planned on reopening because I wanted to wait and still get the food I was told that they had no idea."

"My kids and I love steak and shake it's our happy hour spot...We always get the same thing mostly 3 strawberry shake with Oreo, every now and then we may switch up, normally it's pretty cool but the day before yesterday was different, money was funny so only one of my kids got a milkshake, and she was trying to see if she had enough money to get us one she asked the drive thru person how much are the milkshakes and she said $4.99 and my daughter asked well how much are they on happy hour and mind you we are the only car in line, the cashier said Ion know look at the menu and there is nowhere on the menu that tells you how much they are during happy hour... She was the manager, very very rude. My kid has learning issues.... She made her feel bad, like she was dumb and that was totally unnecessary from a steak and shake manger, probably won't be back"
