"Very nice restaurant. It's one of the few Sushi places that I trust, and you can't beat the price!"
"This is a hidden gem. The inside is very clean, service is fast and friendly, and the food is incredibly good at a really reasonable price. We explored sushi as well as snow, crab legs, and a few other things and nothing disappointed us whatsoever. Highly recommend this location and think everyone will enjoy this as much as we did and I will certainly be coming back."
"The cool thing about living in West Park is the number and variety of places to eat. We have everything from hamburgers to Sashimi. On a Black-Friday afternoon, avoiding holiday shopping (I’m a guy after all), I decided to take my tastebuds to Kintaro Seafood Shack and Japanese Cuisine in the Warren Village Shopping Center. Some of you may remember the previous establishment. What will strike you when first entering is that the entire place has been completely redone. The booths and tables sit amid a forest of glossy pagoda wood – thick timbers holding up a lattice above your head. There is a large, well-stocked bar with TVs to watch the games. I don't remember that there was a bar in the previous establishment. The plastic crabs and red lobsters hanging from fishing nets allude to the extensive seafood menu. Kintaro translates to “Golden Boy,” a popular figure in Japanese folklore, although I don’t remember his image appearing anywhere. The menu is extensive, boasting what you would expect from a Japanese restaurant – and so much more. You’ll have your choice of Sushi and Sashimi, spicy sweet teriyaki and tempura, and sizzling hot Hibachi dishes. If your Asian taste leans more towards Chinese fare, you’ll find a selection of Lo Mein and rice choices. If you’re a seafood lover, you’ll find everything under the waves from lobster, crab, mussels, oysters, and scallops. Beverages include Japanese beers, various herbal teas, creamy fruit smoothies and Japanese “Ramune Soda.” I ordered the Sushi Sashimi combo. I didn't know whether to eat it or put it in the art museum. The dish was artfully arranged on a large plate with a bucolic Japanese image, the various fish pieces waiting in formation, a real lotus flower serenely presenting the various fish pieces waiting patiently in formation. The beauty of the plate quickly gave way to my hunger. One by one I bathed the salmon, tuna, and shrimp in a mixture of salty soy sauce and spicy hot Wasabi. The mix of these flavors and the freshness of the fish was incredible. One of the surprises at Kintaro is their bathroom. The men’s room is fit for royalty with glossy marble walls and floor. I could have had my dinner there. If you're someone who likes to take selfies in a bathroom, this is your spot. If your taste buds are bored and need some action, go to Kintaro. You will not be disappointed."
"For the price this place was great, my waitress was incredibly nice and attentive. Over all the food was great! I got a hero roll, 2 rainbow rolls, a Dragon roll, shrimp nigiri, eel nigiri, tuna nigiri, plus miso soup and ice cream. They were decently generous with fish, didn't over stuff with rice and the eel was amazing. I was very satisfied with taste. My few complaints: the miso soup was not good, it had very little taste, they also tend to put too much cucumber in, not every piece but most had too much cucumber. Shrimp nigiri was bad, didn't finish it. It was over cooked and hadn't been cleaned properly so it still had poop. Overall for the lunch price I would go again."
"Went for lunch... Great sushi, hibachi was GREAT vegetables, okay steak(steak was lean, I like mine fatty). Sushi rolls, we're all on point. Wasabi was fresh and saki was fantastic! Definitely a recommend!!!!"
