Sarku Japan

"I haven't been to Sarku since it was called Sakkio, but it is still just as wonderful as I remember it being! It's even more convenient now that it's outside the mall in its own little place (good for you guys!). The portions are super generous, especially for the price. I will be coming back as often as I can!"

"Service at the register was bad. Seemed she was bothered by having to wait on me. Not a good first impression. I asked for 2 yum yum sauces as I pulled out my wallet and she barked at me they charge for them...which I knew. You could barely see the yum yum tray on the counter because it's messy with bags and other stuff. No price still on the yum yum tray. Don't you want to make extra money? I got the BOGO deal to go but they didnt seal the chicken meal completely so it spilled in the paper bag. Plus my meals had 85% rice and rest was meat n veggies. Not a good experience overall. Please address this so it doesn't close. We want to keep it in our neighborhood but I will stop going if it doesn't get better. Thank you."

"It's not hardcore genuine Japanese food, but for $11 bucks, their bento boxes make a great meal that is a mix of warm and savory with light and refreshing. The staff is entirely Hispanic, and no disrespect, they do fine work, but I've had more authentic sushi at other places. Don't go expecting REAL sushi."

"I noticed that Sarku was now outside of Great Northern mall and stopped here a couple weeks ago. I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I got the Teriyaki chicken combo with fried rice, no veges, dumplings, and a soda. The chicken was tender and delicious, no fatty pieces at all, the sauce was thicker and better tasting then it was last time I had it in the mall - absolutely delicious! - and the dumplings were good. I ate the entire meal even though it was a lot of food. I stopped there again yesterday and had the same meal except I had the spring rolls instead of dumplings, and I saved a lot of it for leftovers. The spring rolls were a bit overcooked on the outside but delicious inside. The teriyaki chicken and fried rice tasted great again, and was still delicious the next day after warming up the leftovers in my microwave."
