"Has to be one of the worst hospitals in the area. Took my wife there Thursday February 23 took almost 4 hours to get a room . They took a bunch of test couldn’t find anything . They sent her a text today for a referral for an upper GI at their hospital. Said they couldn’t do it until August 6 months what a joke . I wouldn’t take my dog there.6 months knowing she is in a lot of pain . Stay clear of this place ."
"UC Hospital ER is absolutely garbage now! Rude and unsanitary staff.... spent 8 hours in the ER waiting room never even going back in a room... to have a doctor that didn't even exam me, say that you probably have cancer but we don't know.... it's hard to tell????? Seriously???? They registered us at the same time we are discharged? They just want your money, not to actually do their job and help people. 8 hours and she didn't even read the chart to know what was the complaint to bring us in.... West Chester UC is the worst ER!!! Never again will I make that mistake! For your viewing pleasure, a dirty bandaid in the area they sat us in to discharge us! They also removed the IV and laid it blood and all on the couch we were sitting on"
"They release people so they can go home to die... er is a joke. If you are in the er and or trauma, be prepared to not be seen for hours by a single nurse... There is negligence here... needs looking into... extremely disappointed that this is a hospital. Rude staff at er desk as well. Act like you are poison for not waiting behind the line... excuse us."
"The worst experience ever! Came by squad due blood pressure spike and severe chest pain. Passed out due to extremely high blood pressure 231/130 was told when I arrived to put me in a chair and push me into the lobby! The paramedics refuse to do so because of this and stayed with me until I was seen by Dr. After chest x ray was sent back to the lobby where I waited another three hours before just leaving!"
"On Monday 12/11/23 I had a L 4&5 spinal decompression surgery. Surgery was scheduled to start at 10:15 AM. I arrived at 8 AM & surgery didn’t start until about 12:30 PM. I have diabetes too. They checked my blood sugar post op but never gave me any meds to control it. I don’t as discharge on Tuesday @ 2 PM. I got home & checked my sugar. It was 365 & even after taking several doses of insulin I’m still having trouble getting it under control. Now mind you when I left my house on Monday morning I hand checked my sugar & it was 126. I checked it myself at least once more price to surgery & it had done up a little to around 171 due to pre surgery jitters. Perfectly understandable. NOT giving me meds during my stay prior to eating though is not professional nor is it in the best interests or care of any diabetic patient. The only thing I’ve had to eat today is am bowl of bean soup with about 3/4 cup of rice & a Canada Dry Gingerale. My overnight nurse wasn’t on her game either. I just had my back sawn in half so to speak, two cists removed, arthritis, cleaned out & bone spurs removed besides fixing severe spinal stenosis. I’m in A LOT of pain. She came in at 10 PM Monday night & said she was going back to get my pain meds & would be right back. She came in 1 1/2 hours later. Then no patient n meds at 4 AM when if I understood correctly were supposed to be administered every 4 hours. She did give me Tylenol which I am not supposed to take. The day nurses were fin but the not caring for my diabetes is unacceptable & very dangerous. Make sure you harp on them about getting diabetes meds if you or s loved one goes in that hospital. Now I’m going to have to fast & take my insulins, yes I take 2 in order to get my sugar under control. Oh, btw I’m a 100% service connected disabled veteran. Not like I should get any special treatment but come on!!"
