"I recently delivered my daughter here last week. This is about the nurses. They were always available every day and never made me feel like a burden. (My baby was born early so I needed some extra care.) they were always understanding, helpful, and never made me feel inferior, (I was very nervous because my baby was so small) They were just awesome. I couldn’t express enough how comforting they were. My husband and I loved the nurses and felt at home. Every time I felt uncomfortable it’s like they knew and comforted me. I can’t tell you how important that was for me and how grateful I am for their support and care. I would definitely consider delivering here if you can."
"My father in law was admitted to this hospital last year.Shout out to our girl Nurse DUMA who was very kind and helpful she is one of a kind. But unfortunately other nurses was very snob and rude. My mom in law went to the nurse station to asked for an extra robe for our patient but no one listen to her they just keep on chatting as if they didn't hear anything. To think our room was just right next to the station.Hopefully they do better in taking care of the patients and be more compassionate not only wanted the money.Overall it was okay."
"I had been wanting to do this evaluation for a while and today this day arrived my son was born two 2 years ago this month, and at the time I really wanted to do the tubal ligation because he would be the third child. They won’t approve me and they didn’t make much effort to transfer me from the hospital for me to have the surgery. The worst of all that today on this date I send this message, 11/02/23 I am recovering from the surgery I did yesterday on the 1st because Mount Carmel did not do it, they did not respect my decision. So I had to go through this surgery and they had a cesarean section on me and I already had two previous cesarean sections. The postpartum did not worry or contact me for my gynecological appointment. Maybe because I’m an immigrant. They charge me this debt to this day. Since I can’t afford to pay and they didn’t help me to be transferred. The nurses were attentive, each other not so much. In ultrasounds they always left me in doubt, they never clarified everything and made me afraid of having something with my baby. My frustration is so great due to my childbirth. When I was discharged, a woman took my son’s blanket from my arms because it was very soft And I couldn’t roll the baby up since I was going to go out with him and in November it’s very cold outside. Feeling bad in some consultations for leaving me waiting for hours without eating anything. And they apologized to me. I wouldn’t have had to do the tubal ligation if they had done and understood my situation. Now I’m at home frustrated and I try to recover and take care of my son who will be two years old and two more boys. I’m not one to evaluate anything but I couldn’t help but evaluate this situation"
"Have been here twice this year for about a week at a time with family members and numerous times over the past 20 years. 99% of the nurses, doctors, techs, and cleaning staff are fabulous. Every now and then you get one that doesn't necessary have the best bedside manner. I was also here in August for foot surgery for myself. The entire surgery team was great and I was in an out quickly. I had this same surgery done earlier this year on the other foot and the amount that St Ann's charged was almost $20k, when the surgery center only charged about $6k. That is ridiculous billing! The ER docs and nurses are generally great here as well. The security guards that work the ER are almost always first class jerks. If they hate interacting with people so much, then why works this job? The food is beyond terrible. Hospital food is never good, but some of this isn't even edible (especially the mac and cheese....nauseating). Not sure if the bistro makes the patient and guest trays, but someone does not know how to cook at all (and is common to sit on hold for 30-40 minute waiting on kitchen to pickup to order meal tray). The worst experience here is the social worker named Mary C. that is an RN on the palliative floor. She is absolutely horrific. She is supposed to be helping families and patients (especially on this floor pre-death). She is rude, lazy, and inept. She made my dealing with the notice of my dad's pending death and hospice/care facility needs so much harder than they should have been. She had me in tears, and had both hospice and the care facility upset that she could not do her job correctly. I actually ended up doing all of the work myself that she was supposed to be doing. St. Ann's needs to do everyone a favor and terminate her."
